The Shark Is Broken is the next show going into The Golden. It's a comedy about the making of the movie Jaws.

Saw The Shark is Broken in London and it’s a really fun play, and seemed to do pretty good business here.

“Shark” was a surprisingly excellent play. I’m really surprised to hear it might be transferring here but I’d love to see it again.

I wonder if the original cast is coming over. I assume Ian Shaw will since he wrote it, and he plays his dad. If the others join him, I assume this’ll be heavily discounted since there’s no name recognition of the show or the cast. I’ll check it out though.

I’d think if the producers hope to recoup, they’d try to get at least one bankable star.  While there’s subject matter recognition and good reviews in the UK, it doesn’t scream as having a built-in audience here. Shaw will almost certainly repeat. I’d think they’d aim for a bigger name for the Dreyfuss or Scheider role.
