I think the stage at the York is also smaller, though it never felt cramped to me, but maybe it'll have some more breathing room at Stage 42.  I agree the cast is the big question mark.  Jess Leprotto and Taylor Stanley were two standouts so we'll have to see if their replacements can capture the same magic they did.

How is this show surviving with ten tickets being sold at a performance ? This theatre is cursed ! Trip of Love indeed.

Announcing the production on March 3 ahead of a March 20 first preview is almost as crazy as its lead producer having her name on all the advertising.

If there’s one show that would have benefited from pouring some money into a studio video shoot for content, it’s this.

They should have announced this during its final week at York.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Saw the third preview on Saturday and had a great time. There was no "I'm a Brass Band", but otherwise the set list was (from my memory) the same as what Melissa posted. I can definitely see Jess LeProtto being an asset for the numbers he was in, but I thought the cast was great. Its still a bit college showcase, but the best moments are really wonderful. A version of this type of show should always be running in New York, just a very entertaining reminder of the past and present of theatrical dance. House was about a third full but seemed to be really enjoying it, hope they can get some word of mouth going.

Does the program list anyone as swings?

According to their Playbill, there are 17 cast members, all listed as “Company.” At the York, there were 14. I was particularly impressed with RJ Higton (The Outsiders), who seems to have taken some of Jess LeProtto’s track. He’s especially winning in “All I Need Is the Girl.”

Though covers and understudies are listed under each number, it looks like they’re also used here and there throughout the show, especially in the larger group numbers.

The production already seems in really good shape heading into opening next week. The main changes I noticed were the cut of “I’m a Brass Band” and the addition of “City Lights” from The Act.

Act 1 flies by, and although Act 2 starts with a bang with “Swing, Brother, Swing...,” the team made the unfortunate choice of putting two of the ballets almost back-to-back, and featuring the same duo to boot. Luckily, Jessica Lee Goldyn’s thrilling rendition of "The Music and the Mirror" gives that stretch of Act 2 the lift it needs, and ‘One’ brings the audience to their feet.

From what I’ve seen on Broadway these past few years, this is easily one of the most rigorous, dance-heavy shows in a while—and this cast does not disappoint.

This feels and looks great at Stage 42. I think it was my first visit to this wonderfully comfortable little theater!

I cannot rave enough about Jessica Lee Goldyn who was literally on fire yesterday. They replaced I’m a Brass Band from Sweet Charity with City Lights from The Act and it was a showstopper with a capital S. That final lift in the encore had me mesmerized as I have never seen this number before. The red sparkly suit Jessica wore was terrific and the entire ensemble was just perfectly in step. She then shimmied her way through Teach Me How to Shimmy from Smokey Joe’s Cafe - another wow performance which I loved at the York well. According to the Playbill, Keely Beirne does the shimmying on Wed & Sat matinees. I cannot wait to see how she will kill this the same way she killed as part of the Manson Trio from Pippin along with Ahmad Simmons and Samantha Siegel. Jessica then came back as Cassie to slay The Music and the Mirror.  The lighting and mirror effects were of course so much better than at the York. The sound, orchestra and projections were ideal.

I loved RJ Higton who is new to the cast and was quite light on his feet and terrific in Broadway Melody and Moses Supposes.  He’s 6’4” so he’s very exciting to watch. His lines. Sigh.

Brandon Burks who I adored when I saw this in December was out yesterday and I was sorry to miss him.

Cool from West Side Story led by Drew Minard looked terrific and always gives me goosebumps.

Sara Etsy in An American in Paris is worth the price of admission alone. Just brilliant.

The one thing I would change are the costumes for A Chorus Line’s One. The girls wore navy. The guys had navy tops and black pants. Not enough pop. I was looking for the typical gold but got casual Friday instead and it didn’t work for me.

I feel lucky to live in NYC and be able to revisit these dances often. It is an embarrassment of art and talent and I find this review thrilling. For musical theater fans, it’s a must see. I sat there for two hours with a smile on my face the entire time. Highly recommended.

Asking again, did they add swings for this run? Can't tell by any press releases.

There are no specific swings listed in the Playbill.

I went to the opening night tonight and overall found this to be an extraordinary evening. Getting to see a handful of these numbers performed so brilliantly by these dancers was such a treat I truly felt lucky that we have the opportunity to see this in New York, right now.

Very jealous of people getting to see this (just like with the old company, I wish more American Dance Machine things would be filmed for preservation.)  I love I'm a Brass Band, though out of Sweet Charity Fosse numbers I probably would have picked the Frug or even Rhythm of Life instead--but I have to say the Tony performance of City Lights is a clip I've gone back to over and over (partly as a guilty pleasure) so it seems a great inclusion.
