Any thoughts / announcements on when the posting of grosses will resume? The Broadway League site indicates "when a normal schedule resumes" but what does that really mean? I thought they would start posting post 9/14.
it is naive and stupid but the people making these decisions are clueless so we can't expect more. Soon enough, we will have plenty of info on grosses by means of gossip. Then maybe someone will wake up.
I was just thinking again the other day how much I miss looking over the weekly grosses and analyzing them. It feels like a big missing piece of Broadway’s return. The reasons they give for choosing not to make them public are so ludicrous.
Except the number of us that CARE about this is incredibly small. I know very few bway fans that actually look into this the way we do.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Sure, I guess so. But that's not why they aren't reporting the grosses. In fact, they're worried people care too much.
If the Broadway League had said "Hey folks listen, we're understaffed, and the cost of labor to aggregate the grosses and maintain the interactive chart isn't worth the traffic it brings to our site" then my reaction might have just been "damn, that sucks, oh well!" But they add insult to injury by giving reasons that are based on cowardice, false assumptions, and toxic positivity.

No quarrel with your point, but just to make one thing clear: the grosses are collected and reported weekly because of contractual obligations. (Lots of people are paid based on a percentage of the gross and a lot more people have access to the reports. This is why I have said previously that it is a joke to try to keep this secret.) So there really is no labor. It's all automated in 2021.
Did anybody catch the article on BWW today on grosses? It sounds like the League will release a summarized version of the grosses, with attendance and financial figures for each show not disclosed.

My bad! Last time somebody made a new thread about grosses, everybody threw a fit about people making a new thread about grosses so I didn't think to look for a new thread, I went to one of the old ones. Sorry!
No problem. I know many on here will throw a fit about a duplicate thread, but I'm not one of them. Just pointing you in the right direction if you wanted to see what people were saying.
