They're coming in fall 2026, I think.

Along with every other new musical ever apparently. Fall 2026 will certainly be busy with all these limited engagement plays we’re getting this spring.

"Galileo got pretty good reviews and word of mouth out-of-town. It was received much better than Great Gatsby was at Paper Mill, for example, which is still running.
But everything is always so doom and gloom with you, so I’m not surprised.

I’ve been surprised Goddess hasn’t swooped in. I would think in such a sparse new musical season it would be a good addition

Goddess had wonderful performances and dancing, but the story isn’t a commercial draw by any means.

God forbid we talk about the realities of the business and why some shows are booked over others despite questionable out of town results. While I liked Gatsby enough, itis a financial model no one should aim for. It has massive money behind it -you are making my point. Creative strengths and sound business models (See Buena Vista) are not the standard by which shows are chosen. But yes by all means let's not discuss it and insteadhave another 10 pages of discussion on Matthew Morrison's dimples.
"It’s clear you have very strong feelings about what you think is worthy of transferring to Broadway, so I encourage you to become a producer.
I’m going to continue to root for Broadway to survive, and in order for that to happen, we’re going to need the Great Gatsbys, Aladdins, Mean Girls, etc. because tourism is good for the business.
It may be an unpopular opinion, but shows are allowed to be fun and escapism. Not every musical needs to be a universally acclaimed masterpiece. We don’t hold films to that standard, so it comes off as negative when you talk badly about every single out of town tryout.
If your comments were additive to the conversation, I’d have no problem. But every week, you talk about how Broadway is gonna fail. And you’re entitled to your opinion, but at some point you have to ask yourself, does every thought need to be voiced?
There have been disaster musicals on Broadway. But every out-of-town tryout that has happened recently has not been a disaster.

I didnt say anything like what are attributing to me… your laundry list of shows has nothing to do with me ot what i support with my investments. You are not additive and a know it all that seems to live to be right on here. So stop putting words in other peoples posts and get a life.

I would love to know which upcoming musicals you’re excited for that “didn’t fail on the road.”

I’ve controlled nothing. You are free to post what you like. I apologize if you thought otherwise. And in the same way, I am free to say that the majority of what you post is doom and gloom.
I tried to find common ground with you, but alas, was unsuccessful. Therefore, let the doom and gloom commence!

Yes, it could. Why don’t you go away? It’s a very weak season of new musicals. Whether you want to admit it or not Wanted would do quite well in this lack luster offering. The majority of the Tony nominations for musicals will go to revivals.

I don’t really think the paper mill audience is the same as the broadway audience. Might do better in New York as it’s a great new musical. But I think they fumbled the ball and should have come in this spring as intended.

No, I saw it at paper mill and loved it. Everyone I know who saw it loved it. Did you see it? What did you think
