Wow would love to hear John sing the score! Also, bravo to Reeve for not missing a single show for a year! Who was the last actor to hold that record?

I wonder who is playing Orpheus...Anthony or John? I'd love to see either but am really hoping to see John..."
John just posted on instagram that he'll be on for Orpheus March 12th-15th!

We are likely going to be in NYC May 1-2, and D wants to see Hadestown (well, so do we all). I'm not seeing any scheduled vacations/other appearances by the current leads on those dates. I know that's still two months away, though.
If only I can find some discounts! (I may need five tickets)
Stubhub has seem to be a reliable option to get cheap tickets to the show.

Second this!! I think I've seen that through StubHub people have gotten tickets priced under $100. Like much lower!"
Thanks. But, I don't know how long I can wait for StubHub prices to drop (lowest currently is 160). If it were just me, I'd wait, but D is pretty insistent. The only other times I've bought tickets way ahead of time were for Cats back in 2000 (for older D whom I had promised to take to see it thinking that Cats was forever, only it wasn't, so we had to take her to NYC). and then Matilda and Pippin in 2013 (again at younger D's insistence). I'm looking at the Mezzanine Rows G and H which on the official site are currently 119 (plus fees).

The mezzanine at the Kerr is great -- $119 or G and H is not awful, especially if it's in the center. I would definitely choose that over the rear orchestra, which has a very low overhang (and probably costs more, anyway).
The other thing I'll note is that this production, like many of its peers in Jujamcyn theaters, uses the Ticketmaster dynamic pricing algorithm. What that often means is that unsold seats drop dramatically in price one or two weeks out. I just bought $79 seats for this week that are selling for $159 two weeks out, and $179 a month out. That, of course, also requires waiting, and for the show to not be selling terribly well on the night(s) you want to go. But in this day and age, you can always keep an eye on the seating charts for your desired performance(s) on the Ticketmaster website or app, and if it's starting to look tight, you can always pull the trigger at full price (though those $119 guys may be gone).
Judging by what those seating charts look like now, I imagine you'll be able to find some seats for less a week or two out, but perhaps not 5 together, and of course you won't have the peace of mind of knowing you're in. So it really just depends what your priorities are.

Thanks, Pashcar! Yes, given the priority on seeing this show and travel, the "peace of mind" factor is larger than normal. I'll keep looking. From A View From My Seat, it looks like Hades' office is more stage right, so I think I'd prefer to be, if not center, than on the right side of auditorium (stage left). It also looks like light standards may block view on the extreme sides.
I sat in the Mezz and actually liked the view more than from the orchestra. I was in the 2nd or 3rd row toward the center Mezz and the view was perfect!

I would strongly suggest house left over house right.

Thanks, Angoradebs. So, I take it that there is no problem viewing Hades' office from House Left?

I also suggest house left over house right. you want to be able to see the stairs/door on stage left/house right at the end. You can see Hades office fine from anywhere in the mezz.
I sat in Orchestra Row Q in the center and found the view quite good and no noticeable issue with the overhang. I have a picture of some kind person can tell me how to post it here!
Kimberly Marable (Worker 1, and u/s Persephone, Fate 3) posted an odd message on Instagram.
It reads:
“ Hey Friends... you’ve got just 2 weeks to catch me 8 times a week as a Worker in @hadestown... can’t go into too much detail right now (so don’t ask), but I know that among other things VACATION is a callin’! #worker1 #obc #broadway #hadestown #kimberlymarable #staytuned #vacationvibes #puertorico

I hope all of the original leads stay, but if any do leave it would be nice to see the replacements come from within the Hadestown family. Kimberly has received some great reviews as Persephone, so if her hard work pays off then I'm thrilled for her. We saw her perform some solo songs in the Hadestown Broadway Sessions show back in September and she was amazing.

I completely agree. Like how they promoted Olivia Kaufmann to full time Janis once Barrett leaves Mean Girls, I hope they promote from within the current cast for Hadestown as well.
Khalia and Jon are on 12-15th so Eva and Reeve can take a break. Nothing about Jessie or Anthony going on together so maybe just a small break for Eva and Reeve since they are both the main leads and I heard Reeve is going somewhere for a short while in April?
Since Khalia and Jon are on, Kimberly has to stay until the 15th because of the lack of swing/ensemble/workers.
Since Afra left for maternity, they've replaced her Persephone with Jewelle, and Kimberly is main understudy...seems like Kimberly will take over for Amber shortly after she returns from vaca?
Who knows, but its kinda fun to try to figure the puzzle out!!! haha

K
im Steele was recently added as a worker and Persephone understudy. I guess with Kim leaving, new Kim S. and Jewelle will be the understudies. Jesse S. and Khaila also cover for the Fates. I love Amber, so I hope she doesn't leave. Reeve hasn't taken any days, so I'd be curious to see John cover him next week.
Kimberly’s Instagram post is very interesting... with her in the show for two more weeks, plus a probable one-week vacation, the timing would line up for her to replace Amber. Previews started at the end of March last year, so that would be a full year for Amber.
It does seem strange that Amber’s departure hasn’t been announced yet though - aren’t principal departures typically released well in advance? The cast is good about announcing planned understudy appearances, so I doubt the producers have strict rules about not posting on social media like the Mean Girls producers did.
