Saw the first performance of their week in Vancouver last night. What a privilege to have Lana Gordon as Persephone. I actually liked her more than Amber Gray, who felt like a cartoon when I saw the show on Bwy in 2019.
Rest of cast was OK.
I do still feel like they could have cut maybe 45 minutes out of this show and it would be better.
Interesting to hear reactions at the ending from audience members who don't know the show.
I like to go into shows prepared: knowing the music, knowing the spoilers. I'm a bit surprised that there are people who don't know anything about what they are about to see - especially when it is something that isn't exactly new.

Non-equity hadestown tour cast has been announced.
Curious what they mean by this, “The tour is directed by Keenan Tyler Oliphant based on the original Broadway direction and featuring a new tour concept by Rachel Chavkin,” and how different the new ‘concept’ will be from the original.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

They have to be cutting the turntables. Really interested to see how they’re going to change the choreography. I’ll be seeing this new tour in late October.

T. Oliver Reid is doing the choreography, too. But my goodness, is anyone in this tour over 30?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Pretty common for these non-Eq tour casts to be young and for direction/choreo to be "based on" the original with a scaled back physical production so they can quickly load in and out of 1-3 night engagements.
Would be tough and expensive to get turntables in and out in such short periods of time.

Given the schedule I doubt they’ll have the moving walls either. Hopefully the swinging lamps will still be part of the show too."
The swinging lights are probably the easiest part of load in, so they’ll definitely cut those just to spite us.
