EEP!!
I LOVE that they have both curtain calls on there too. Fantastic <33
Can this pleeease just be out right now?? I need it. I've been listening to my Actors Fund Benefit recording, and it is awesome, but.. I need THIS cast recording!

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Seeing as how complete it is, I'd be willing to bet this one could be a strong contender for the Grammy for Best Show Album.

WOW, that's amazing. Any word on if it'll be at the theatre earlier? I just cannot wait! Will it be a double-CD?

As much as I love the OBC which I have been listening to since '69, I am anxiously awaiting this new recording which will hopefully be mixed a little bit better then the original.
Those Blocked: SueStorm. N2N Nate. Good riddence to stupid! Rad-Z, shill begone!

Wow. June 9th could not feel farther away.

The War is looked over again? Ugh. Instead of the curtain calls, I would have preferred a couple of cut numbers like Dead End and The Bed.

Mister Matt, I'd love to have "The Bed" and "Dead End" also...

Stick "Dead End" before "Sheila Franklin," stick "Hippie Life" (yecch) before "Frank Mills," throw in "The War" and "The Bed," and make it a double-album. Then I'll buy it.

I say no to "Hippie Life." Why would they reference themselves as hippies? They wouldn't and shouldn't, and therefore shouldn't be in the show.

I just realized that "Sheila Franklin" is in a different position than in the original score. It's usually right before "Easy to Be Hard" and the scene before that.

I can live without Hippie Life. The show itself makes the song redundant. If the show is designed to illustrate hippie life, then there is no need to recap it so literally. I've seen it used in the show and it just grinds everything to a halt.
I've always heard Sheila Franklin as the lead-in to I Believe in Love. Isn't it her introduction?

At least the way it's written in the script/score that I have (the licensed version), "I Believe in Love" is her intro. "Sheila Franklin" is used to introduce the Sheila/Berger scene leading in "Easy to Be Hard."

Well, back in the day we Hippies did call ourselves Hippies and were damn proud of it!
Question to the original title of post.
Shouldn't it be ORC09?
The original Broadway recording is the OBC and there was another revival.

Wasn't sure how to list it but B&N lists the recording as:

I'm thrilled beyond words that they decided to try for a more complete recording. I really wasn't expecting that and I applaud whoever it was that made the decision.

9 Sheila Franklin
I wonder why this got its own track. Isn't it about 10 seconds long?
23 Be In
26 Oh Great God of Power
34 Give Up All Desires / Hail Mary
I'm happy these songs are finally on record.

Love the OBC, but I can't wait for a full recording.
Not recording "3-5-0-0" and "What a Piece of Work Is Man?" (among others) was a crime.

Somebody hasn't bought the CD re-releases. A fairly full version of HAIR's score at the time was recorded and is replicated in full on compact disc, including "3-5-0-0" and "What a Piece of Work is Man".
