A kid on IMDB is claiming that the role of Link will be going to:



many people questioned him on it, and he replied:

"Zac Efron lives in my area and he has a tight group of friends. He has told many of us friends that he recieved the part of Link
So unless he is lieing to us firsthand... or something falls through
Zac is Link."


hmmmm, Which sucks... cause I told people I'd kill myself is someone from HSM was in this movie... so now I have to get myself a gun. shoot! (literally)

- Its not like he CANT do it...but I was hoping they were going with an unknown, like they said they would.

<- is very confused. I could have sworn the open call was for "edgy young johnny depp types", which is why i didn't go.. theres nothing edgy about that kid

He looks nothing like the type that tha casting call said they were looking for. I thought about auditioning but by the time I heard about them still looking it'd been well past the deadline. Another time though I'm gonna have to be on the ball. Oh well, what can ya do?

PS- It's nice to see Miyuu Sawai again. I miss that show. And with all the Myus, you'd think the character would be brought up at least occassionally on a theater board...

well they would probably "de-beach" him. Meaning dye and cut his hair. But yeh, he isnt very edgy. More like a Ricky Nelson-type than Elvis.

I think he was dubbed in that stupid rap song "get your head in the game" but disney does that to nearly all their artist.. digitizing their vocals till they sound like what they want them too. Excpet Raven. <- My GURL!

I really dont mind the casting choices... no one will be a 100% happy, and since there are so many cast members - there are more discussions and questions than something like Chicago which had like 4-6 main cast members.

if rowan is in it - a veteran english comedian/actor

and now a disney actor


- I think we need an infomercial actor now. 'Cmon Ron Popeil as Corny Collins, it will be great! ^_~

I liked HSM and all, it was cheesy and fun to watch and listen to, but Zach Efron (that's the boy's name) as Link, doesnt fit. I enjoy the casting of Amanda Bynes and Queen Latfiah because they are truly good at what they do. Zach Efron went from secondary character on a crap WB show called SUMMERLAND (with Jesse Mcartney & "Aunt Becky" from Full House) to a star because of HSM, he doesnt have enough experience to play Link, I feel that Link should be older and less "Disneyifed"
