I really wanted an unknown... and he would be an unknown... but the explosion of HSM made him a household name in the tween market. So who knows.

I really hate speculating, but I am such a hypocrite -I know that the whole movie has been casted I just wish they would tell us. - so I wouldnt have to do this to myself.

Oh I know Mateo, it pisses me off that some rich producer is sitting back laughing at how people are speclating at whose been cast who. We have like half the cast, throw us a bone here, man.

Do we really have to call High School Musical HSM?

How the hell was I suppose to know what that is? As I don't watch the Disney channel, I prefer my sanity. I actually had to check this guys IMDB page to figure out what the hell HSM is.

Anyway, he looks very creepy. Yuck, not for Link!

I guess some of us are just coming to realize that these charatcers are in Highschool and since the original movie had older looking actors playing the roles and the same on the stage - that it is weird to see appropriatley aged people as Link and Tracy and Penny etc...

I really don't like this at all. I understand that the characters are supposed to be in high school, but he looks like he's in middle school compared to Amanda Bynes. I also don't think his voice is the smooth, crooner type that I'd associate with the role.

I just emailed the webmaster of his Official Site and she wrote me back saying she had never heard of that, and doesnt think he is in the film... she actually asked me if i was reffering to something he did in Highschool (^^) so I wrote her back again explaining myslef further...


so this whole thing could be fabricated... "I give up, I throw up my hands and jut out my hip!"

You should submit that story to the "Hilarious Comments Overheard by New York tourists" thread. I doesn't really live up to it's subject title, but in general, it's all stories people hear about other people's confusion with musical theatre.

Um...ew.

I didn't think that I could have possibly hated Zac more since HSM came out... but apparently I can.

It's kind of like the feeling Peter Griffin had when he knew that he was the one that was gonna have to kill the kids of Dawson's Creek.

Just, in regards to Zac Efron dubbed vs. dubbed. I had to explain this to a bunch of people, so bear with me.

Zac was dubbed the WHOLE movie. The guy who did the singing for him wrote "Get Your Head in the Game." However, all of the crazy Zac fangirls decided to assume that that meant that was the only song Zac didn't sing. The guy whose voice Zac was dubbed with sings the whole movie, and wrote that song. Eh? Also, the only time Zac really does sing is during scene where he's standing on her balcony, and sings about 4 bars...

To me, he doesn't look old enough. I feel like Link should look a little older than her, thus why she likes him so much more, besides that Link's adorable. He would look RIDICULOUS next to Nikki, and looks like an infant. There would be no reason for her to be obsessed with him if it was Zac, he's a four year old.

Wrong choice.

When I saw the movie for the first time I knew there was no way it was him singing because when he does the 4 bars on her balcony it sounds terrible......o well maybe he has improved....if he is link he better not mess it up...

its so weird that people are still being dubbed, i just feel that is a really old practice...

well if he is or isnt in the movie, and whoever will be Link... I am sure he had to audition for the role, and show off if he could sing or not.

they did, so thats why i find it hard to believe he is in the movie.


But a source VERY close to the hairspray family told me everything has been casted.


Im hoping i'll get more info though.

issue is, yes they dubbed him in hsm, it says it on the cd, he cant sing for his life, and hes ugtly as hell
