No one really knows for sure when the OBC are leaving (or at least I don't think so). They'll stay for sure until after the Tony's (which is in June) and their contracts are usually for 1 year so they should still be there in July.

I've only been on line for a little over an hour and I'm already tired of listening to the Scientology video loop across the street. Wishing I had some sort of magical universal remote to turn it off. Ugh.

You are gonna get tired of hearing this but good luck! I swung by this morning but most people were still asleep. Gonna try to see another show before my flight tonight.
Those Scientologists man, I entertained myself yesterday watching them try to recruit people from Times Square. That video ugh

What was your total wait time to get in?

I'll post more detail later but my line buddy who is amazing got in line Wednesday and I personally waited 20 hours give or take. 8 premiums (4 released at 2 I think and another 4 by 6) and 8 regular priced tickets that I know of. Two lottery 6 orchestra maybe 8 rows back at most.
3&4 in line were line sitters who took premiums. The six other girls who got in arrived Thursday at 8 and midnight

Congrats gatorgirl2!!!! So glad you got to see it --- front row even! I bet you saw Renee's fillings too?
I know you'll write a more detailed report later but I am curious about the following:
1) Did the other people in front/second row notice any stench from cancellation line patrons? Or did you guys spray some perfume before entering the theater? I know the temperature was in the 80s but from what I recall, the line wait is in the shade and there is an occasional breeze in that area that I doubt people were sweating profusely to the point that they have a ripe smell upon entering the theater.
2) Did they separate the line to according to the day of performance at some point during your wait?
3) Was your friend who waited since Wednesday evening ok during the performance last night (in other words, was she wide awake or was it hard to pay attention without a proper sleep the night before?)
Either way, enjoy your time here in NYC! Thank you.

Honestly my biggest mistake was bringing deodorant wipes instead of both the wipes and deodorant. The weather wasnt bad. I'm from Florida mind you but I wasn't sweating from the heat at all. I probably did smell a little but the women next to me didn't seem bothered so maybe it was me being self concious or she was being nice. My line buddy who waited 50 hours DID NOT smell but she didn't make my mistake. Us buddying up gave us the ability to go change and clean up so it was fine.

she he was a trooper and wide awake. We were too excited and emotional to feel tired. She managed to sleep outside though.
Either way, enjoy your time here in NYC! Thank you.

Good luck! I hope you gals make it tonight (unless you're in the theater already for matinee!)
how is the weather? I recall you both waited back in the spring when it was colder.

"We did it again!!! We got in the matinee, and I can't believe that it was the original cast. I was so surprised!
I can't believe it could get any better, but it did! They've done some changes with the choreography, and even the transitions seem to have a smoother flow.
My friend got in line around 3:30ish yesterday afternoon. The people in line this time were all very nice and friendly. It felt like a block party! The weather was not bad. It was warm, but not really hot.
I believe that 6 premiums and around 13 regular tickets were released for the matinee.
Now, we're off to dinner, then Book of Mormons next.
P.S. Remebering with gratitude those who served and died, that allowed us to enjoy what we are enjoying today in this nation that we love. Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Do you think that the line is going to get super long after the Tony's? Thinking about going to NYC around the last 1-2 weeks of June. How long do you think I'll have to wait?

Congrats Em6! Glad you got in! That's a lot of tickets released!
To those who are asking if people told me I smelt. No one commented. No one around me smelt and my line buddy didn't smell either cause she went and changed.
I don't think you guys realize this but someone NOT doing cancellation line could show up with bad b o. All they had to do was spend some time in time square or ride the subway. I sweated more today walking to tkts then lunch than show. Today was definitely hotter but at least the theater keeps you out of the sun.

Newbie asking for confirmation that you and your buddy can no longer swap out of line-say so one person could go shower and get food.

I only asked the question since other posters on here were saying how people would smell etc after a long wait when temps are in the 80s. Since the wait is in the shade and there is definitely an occasional breeze, I doubt you guys were smelly at all (unless you guys were doing workouts while waiting!)
Thx for your input though! I agree that people who were walking all over nyc throughout the day and sweating would be smellier than those who were waiting in cancellation line in the shade.
congrats EM6!!! So glad you saw the show again! Wow! Those are a lot of tix released for the matinee. All OBC too! I recall you gals saw it with Jonathan Groff back in the spring. Have fun at Book of Mormon tonight!
