WHY hasn't this guy done a Broadway musical yet? I have been in love with this man since I was 10-years-old and would love to see him in SOMETHING! I actually think he'd be great as Jimmy in Millie. (Christian actually reminds me of him...big, doofy facial features but SO CUTE! :)) If South Pacific ever comes back, I enjoyed him in the TV remake, so that's a possibility...or Pal Joey.
I think he'd be wonderful...I wonder why he hasn't done anything yet?I know that he likes staying grounded in New York.

There's some rumour going around that he might be one of the actors being considered for Hugh Jackman's replacement for The Boy From Oz, according to a poster on the OZ forum who saw him in an interview on Canadian TV.
Sounds interesting.

I think he's a really great actor so I think he could handle the part....
although I really don't think anyone could do it like Hugh!!

Posted: 2/9/04 at 7:33pmharry needs to die. he's a good actor, but not a versitile one. his voice is good, for about one genre, if that. has anyone heard his new cd? its a pop jazz version of a sinatra impersonater. with a p-diddy beat. i'm sorry to all connickites, but this man just grates on my nerves. and broadwaykate is my heterolover and she is always right. there.

He needs to die?
That's about the most obnoxious thing I've read on here in awhile.

Posted: 2/9/04 at 11:01pmHarry's not my favorite actor, but I do enjoy his music. I first heard of him when he did the soundtrack for "When Harry Met Sally...". A great performer when it comes to standards, not sure how he'd do in a musical.

I suppose you are correct, I guess I think of Hugh as more lithe than Harry.... perhaps that is because he is wearing leopard print shirts...
Once again I am proved wrong!!!

I absolutely love his new album...I haven't been thrilled with his past few albums, this one is definitely the best one he's released in a few years. Harry singing "More" and "The Very Thought of You"...WOW.
Don't know how I feel about him taking over for Hugh, but, I have seen Harry in concert several times and he's wonderful on stage. So much energy and I love watching him play the piano. He's like a little kid having the time of his life.
He's also an incredibly nice guy:)

Posted: 2/10/04 at 4:54pmreally, i'd prefer to beware the "wrath". thanks for sticking up for me kate! and no, he doesn't need to die, i was just caught up in my momment of dislike. would this make my third stupid comment? you people care too much about how people respond, and not enough about the topic at hand. how many comments in here are about me? am i harry connick jr.? i thankfully am not. so maybe just save it for a private message next time? and really, harry isn't all that bad; he is very good at what he does. i just think that he is not the most versitile of actors, and i think that is an important aspect of a good and accomplished actor. i love you kate!!!!

The trouble with Harry is (get it Hitchcock..oh forget it)
...the trouble with Harry is.... he's not Italian..
Sinatra
Darin
Damone
Como
Martin
Columbo
Except for Crosby, all Italiani!!!!!
It's a good basic voice...with a great deal of southern charm..at one time, buttery good looks and he could play the hell out of a piano...
But listen to him for 10 minutes and then put on Bobby Darin..
Light years apart!
the same goes for the new wonders Buble and Cinncotti (only half Italian)...it's almost like their afraid to actually sing and swing this music..
What was Sinatra afraid of...
...nothing...
