Actually, I saw HELLO, DOLLY a mere 74 times.  However, if it was revived tomorrow I'd souble that number.  (I'm retired now and have more time to spend at the Harmonia Gardens!)

Does that include the three times it returned to New York? All I can say is that you are very very lucky.

I've seen Hedwig 25 times. 18 at the Jane and 7 on Broadway This is my Hedwig math: Jane: JCM 14 times, Michael Cerveris 2, Kevin Cahoon once and Matt McGrath once. On Broadway: NPH 3 times, Michael C. Hall once, JCM 3 times Everyone who knows me knows Hedwig is my disease and most of them have seen it with me at least once. My only regret is missing JCMs last show at the Belasco.

Phantom, 147; Les Mis, 138; Cats, 124; Miss Saigon 122 and lastly Chicago at 112. Those are my only 4 over 100. Wicked is gaining at 94 as I got into it late.

Nothing is wrong with BOM. It was just very well tame.

I'm a frequent member of the repeat visitor club. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but my reasons are similar to some outlined earlier. Obviously, there must be something about that first viewing that resonated and connected with me that gives me the desire to see it again. It's an admittedly more expensive route than just listening to a cast recording again, but part of the fun is picking up on differences in performances, ad libs, etc. and no two shows are ever exactly the same, even if the cast is exactly identical or you're seeing the same actor.

If I can get the right discount ticket, ticket+parking+train to NY usually isn't much more than my hockey season tickets+parking+concessions per visit, but it's easier for most to understand supporting my local hockey team regularly than seeing a show again.

My top two are Les Mis 28 times (NY, London, Toronto, multiple tour stops) and Once (NY, London, multiple tour stops) 23 times to date. There are others I've seen multiple times through the years but more recent additions are Side Show (saw it back in '97, then saw it at the Kennedy Center and 3x on Broadway), The Last Ship (2x, would have been 3x if January weather wasn't so bad) Something Rotten (4x so far).

I don't have an exact count, but I have to be very close to seeing A Chorus Line 100 times.

'Get a life' ??  You've had your chance to have one and obviously fuvxed up most of it and now spews forth[constantly] on BWW.

It is very rare for me to want to go back to a show more than once, but it has happened a few times and a couple of times not really by choice.

The 1998 revival of Cabaret was the first one I saw multiple times, and it is also the one I have seen the most: 3 times (the first being Cumming/Richardson).

Ragtime: Once with the original cast, another with the replacement cast that included LaChanze.

I saw The Producers and Wicked twice, the first time was by choice and then the 2nd was with my high school theatre group. I fought hard for other choices but none of them had seen the shows so I figured I would tag along since I was told I couldn't go to different shows myself.

Hairspray: 2 times

Side Show (Revival): Two times

Gentleman's Guide: Two times

In the case of most of these, the second time was primarily to take other people to see the show.

Something Rotten: 2 times

Quite a ways from 100, but I've seen Mamma Mia 22 times to date (with possibly one more time in the summer and 1 to 3 more times next spring.)

Didn't Spiderman sell some sort of ultimate fan pass that allowed for unlimited views or something?  Can't imagine they sold many of those...

Yes, and how about the long lists of shows they saw and how many times they saw them. All way under 100. Most way under 10. Clever.

An acquaintance of mine saw THE BOY FROM OZ at least 200 times and was even interviewed by visiting Australian media on the last performance day.    I clocked only a mere 21 visits to the Imperial that year; wish I could have upped that number.

Well if Pippin had replaced the lead with an age appropriate lead, that would have been way over 100.

I live in Louisville, so I haven't had a ton of repeated viewings:

- THE ADDAMS FAMILY x2 (Non Equity tour in 2 different cities)

- THE BOOK OF MORMON x4 (1NT all within 2 weeks)

- PIPPIN x4 (Once on Broadway, three times on tour within six days)

- MATILDA x2 (Twice on Broadway about 2 years apart)

- WICKED x2 (Twice on tour about two years apart)

- LEGALLY BLONDE x3 (Two different high schools, One community)

- NEXT TO NORMAL x2 (Both were the same community theatre production, it was that good)

- 9 TO 5 x2 (Two different community theaters)

- ANYTHING GOES x2 (Once with the most recent equity tour, one high school)

As others have stated, I don't live in the city, and a great tour comes to my area, I try to see it more than once. I don't spend a ton of money (for BOM I got lotto 3/4 times, and with Pippin I got rush every time), so if I see something more than once it's usually because I get some kind of discount or someone else is paying (My parents like to see shows every now and then, and they have no problem treating me when I go with them).

YES. All of this.

If there is a show that strikes me enough to make me want to go back, I will see it as many times as I please, as long as I have the time and money. I only see most shows once.

Everyone was just listing repeated occurrences. Very few actually saw a show more than 100 times.

I understand seeing different productions. I've seen R&H's Cinderella probably more than any other show because I just love it so much. To me, it's like going to see Swan Lake or The Nutcracker every season.

I also understand going back to Wicked even though I've only seen the show once because it's probably worth it to see each new Elphaba.

However, the only production I've seen twice is Doctor Zhivago because I was afraid they wouldn't record an album and it would just vanish into the ether so I wanted to see it again to preserve it in my mind. Also, because I had a bad audience experience the first time AND my view was impaired because of that damn table.

Preludes will be the second show I see again because there were convenient discount tickets and I found some of the lighting choices distracting the first time. I also had trouble remembering it after I saw it.

So I guess that's the difference for me. If my experience was complete the first time, I don't feel the need to see a show again.
