I work for CDS so I've seen most of the ones in Vegas recently. Michael Jackson ONE last week being the most recent. I'm obsessed with MJ ONE.

I'll be seeing O at the Bellagio this Saturday. It will be my first cirque show. I usually skip their travelling shows, as I'm not a big fan of what I've seen from them on tv specials.
I'm going to see JLO & all the reviews on tripadvisor say she doesn't go on until 9:30, so I decided to maximize my time & see an early show as well. I was recommended O as it is just across the street. Also I found an offer code & was able to get a ticket for only $150.

I most recently saw Ka and absolutely loved it, simply breathtaking. Love is a hell of a lot of fun as well.

Quidam is still the one to beat for me: fusing both the irreverence and artsy frou-frou aesthetic of early Cirque to a surrealist interpretation of 1960s European cinema and Magritte imagery really worked for me, and that first tableau, where reality explodes and the set deconstructs and floats away had my jaw dropped as an eleven-year-old.

I saw Luzia when it was up in Boston back in July. It was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the people sitting around me were not.

So saw "O" earlier tonight, & it reinforced for me why I prefer traditional broadway shows. I just don't like things that are all spectacle with little story. For me there was just too much gong on all over the place, with none of it meaning or adding up to anything. Also I hated the music. But, the clown segments were ok.
Definitely if this is your thing, & you are planning a Vegas trip, look online for offer codes. I bought 6 months ago, and had amazing seats for $150 after all service fees added. Especially for this show don't leave it until you get here to look for tickets.
Fortunately most of my holiday was focussed on Grand Canyon, Lake Powell in Az, & a day in Zion Canyon in Utah with only this last night before my flight in the morning spent in Vegas, because I really can't stand this city.
I saw JLo last night also, & her show was well put together. I enjoyed it a lot more than the Cirque.

I saw all their Vegas shows and even though 'O' was the most expensive I personally thought it was the least entertaining even compared to the cheaper ones like Mystere and Zumanity. I thought La Reve was a million times better water show than 'O' was. It is amazing!
KA is definitely the best of their Vegas shows, there is no comparison, it is just mind blowing and Love and One are both great as well if you like the respective artists.
Absinthe is fantastic as well, you should definitely see that if you can!
As far as their touring shows go, I have seen 2 and didn't like either of them.

I worked on the Dralion tour. Had a blast.
The last tent show I saw was KURIOS. Not much new but the presentation was outstanding.
Saw KA in Vegas shortly after it opened. Still jaw dropped over the bow and arrow thing. The whole show is just stunning.
Saw Paramour on Broadway and enjoyed it more than I expected to.
Quidam still remains my favorite.

I'm pissed I missed Paramour. I was going to go a million times and then it closed before I got the chance.

I was just at Volta and loved what I was able to see if it. Unfortunately due to a malfunction of the set our show was cancelled only 20 minutes. Hope to see before it moves on to another city

The Michael Jackson one is incredible. At the end, a hologram of him sings Man in the Mirror and I cried. O is sensational. The Beatles one is fun.

I just recently was in Vegas and I saw Love, One, and Ka AND I caught Crystal in Hershey last week.
Of the Vegas shows, Ka will always be my favorite due to its technical mastery. I have seen it multiple times and I still want to go back for more. It will never bore me. My only, let’s call it a warning, to people going into the show for the first time… it is a roller coaster of high adrenaline moments into low energy transitional moments, up and down constantly that make for a sometimes-odd experience. But the show is so technical, it needs these transitions for safety. And it’s worth it for what you get. Oh lord that chase sequence is masterpiece.
One is a good DANCE show but it's far more dance then Cirque acts as it is based on MJ and his music. It has a few fun acts and while I am glad I saw it, I would only recommend it if you are a fan of MJ's music. Don't expect to be dazzled by the art of cirque at this one… though the pre-show performer interaction is some of the best at ANY Cirque I have seen because you are bombarded by it the moment you enter the theatre and being that the show is all about MJ, it's very clever. No spoilers but I loved it.
Love was a pleasant surprise for me as I am not the biggest fan of the music of the Beatles (I know, I'm a monster, I get that a lot) but it really does a fantastic job of blending the music and style of the band with the art of Cirque into a very colorful and enjoyable experience. This is what One SHOULD have been when it comes to the balance of an artist’s famous music with a Cirque show.
As for Crystal, while I would not call it the worst Cirque I have seen, I would call it the SAFEST. And by that I mean it was very by the book. The acts were standard, the visuals were standard, the story was VERY standard. I suppose I expected more from the first Cirque meets ice show but it's clear they are limited in just what they could do being that their stage is made of a sheet of ice. Glad I saw it but also glad I got pretty cheap seats at the same time.
All other Cirques I have seen in the distant past are now retired (Varekai, La Nouba, Saltimbano, Quidam,) minus Alegria which is returning to touring in the near future and Mystere which is likely my LEAST favorite show. The acts are good but it is very bizarre. Cirque has progressed so far in their ability to tell a story since Mystere’s creation that it seems more like a parody of itself.
I am also very excited to see what they do with their new show at Disney World. I am a big Disney superfan so the idea of a cirque blended with Disney music is like RIGHT up my alley.

I was so excited to see one of the "new era" productions, but Cirque disappointed me with this one in particular. Comparing with the premiere DVD, they've cut a lot of amazing acts like Water Meteors, Icarian Games and the Juggling. It was a very short show when I saw it, and with weak acts (except for the Goddess Balance, where a woman builds a giant wood structure above her head and doesn't let it fall. The music is only beats and her deep breathing on microphone, such an amazing act!). The rock music and the singers were amazing, like in every Cirque show. Now waiting for OVO and Alegría's big return in 2019!

I saw Corteo yesterday, which they revamped for arena's & have been touring this year, & into 2019.
The acts are more traditional circus acts like juggling and acrobats. The costumes are based on traditional Italian commedie del'arte (or however that is spelt). There is also a lot of wire work with angels floating about, as the story is that it is s clown's funeral or something. For my second Cirque show I enjoyed it more than O. There was more tension in some of the acts because you could see little things go wrong (like one guy doing a huge flip & lose his balance slighty on the landing) & the potential calamity if bigger mistakes were made. Also I loved the old fashioned clown costumes.

My favorites are Quidam, Corteo and Love. Haven't seen Ka yet, but plan to soon. I thought O was okay, but found the non-Cirque show Le Reve (same designer as O) to be an improvement on O's concept.

I have seen all of the tent shows since Alegria, (except Analuna that skipped Los Angeles i'm assuming to not compete with Iris) and everything in Vegas except Chris Angel. While there are a few weaker links (Ovo and Totem seemed phoning in) however, we love Luzia and are flying up to SF to see Volta. (After Analuna we normally go for a weekend in the bay area). I've never heard the band before but we also LOVED Septimo Dia when it played the Forum. (Didn't love that I payed full price, and the week of they were giving tickets away for under half off)
As for "recently" we saw Mystere (again) a few months ago. It was still fun, and may still be my favorite Cirque show. Although it's missing it's signature cube guy the acts were all still great.
I'm torn the Avatar show was ok at best, glad I got free tickets in the works suite at Staples Center, which has gone away, i'm dreading Crystal making it to LA. I don't really want to see an ice skating show.

Cirque sent an email that Luzia is coming to NY in May 2019, but they didn't say where exactly. Anyone know where? I couldn't find anything online.
I skipped Volta in the meadowlands cause I didn't feel like commuting there and Randall's Island is a pain to commute to too. Citi field is kinda far but not bad. Wish theyd just put it back in battery park.

So I think it's gonna be Citi Field. While their website SEEMS to be lacking info on the New York show, I found something via google.
The ticket listing for the show on Cirques website only lists Orlando and Mexico City at the moment as upcoming BUT when I googled "Cirque Du Soilel New York Citi Field," one of the results that came up was the same ticket page BUT the preview text reads a 'Under the Big Top The Florida Mall March 7, 2019 - April 21, 2019. Notify me · Notify me. New York, NY. next to Citi Field May 2, 2019 - June 9, 2019. Notify me.'
Why the text gets picked up by google but is not appearing on the page itself, I don't know but that seems to point to Citi Field which does make since since a lot of their past tent shows have been at that location. Perhaps the info that WAS there and is now removed but not before google got it?
