Isn't the guy who plays Efron's role in the concert version the guy who really did the singing for the movie? It must be weird for people to hear the voice they're familiar with come out of a different face than they're used to. Ah, lip-syncing.

Those "on ice" things are easy sells out here in Middle America, and while the idea seems ludicrous, it's also inevitable: look at all the other "on ice" shows Disney has thrown out there (including the incredible laughable ALLADIN).

I don't care if they license this show to middle schools and high schools. It is really getting some new kids into musical theatre. But it doesn't belong on Broadway. It will give kids the wrong impression of a Broadway show.

The sad thing, A vast majority of the people on this board who are claiming they wiould kill themselves if this came to Broadway, would jump at being in the Broadway run of it given the oppertunity. I'm not going to lie, HSM isn't the best thing ebver, but if it got me on Broadway, I would be all over it.

Maybe they can wait till all three are filmed, book a theater, and do it in Rep. It will be the greatest trilogy since Coast of Utopia.

I think the most repulsive part of the HSM craze is definitely HSM on ice...
