My friend did it for the Saturday matinee last week, got there at 10:00 and said there was no one else there. The box office guy wasn't even there yet. He showed at 10:10, and she had the first seat on the aisle- A101.

I went Saturday night after losing the Hair lotto (so about 6:15 or so) and got A-109. FWIW, there were only 3 other people in the row with me, so I don't know if people rushed and didn't show up or what.

What sort of view do you get in the front row of the Walter Kerr Theatre (especially for Irena's Vow)?

The seats in the front row are terrific. The stage is very low, and if you're sitting at or around A103, Tovah is just a couple of feet from you during a very emotional monologue toward the end of the show.
Last Saturday, my daughter and I got A102 & A103 at around 11:15 (I guess I was sitting next to Adam's friend). On Wednesday, my other daughter got A103 & A104 at around 10:30.

I got A103 and A104 today at about 12:15pm for tonight's performance. Looking forward to it...

I got there around 1:00ish (for a Thursday show, mind you) and got a ticket.
I doubt they're selling out right away.

I went to the box office there around an hour before showtime and got a ticket in the front row two seats away from the aisle.
According to Playbill, they reserve the front row for Student Rush. So, it doesn't shock me to hear that people are getting front row for student rush.

I got there around 1:15 for a 2 p.m. matinee on Wednesday, got the first seat in Row B.
