It's hard to tell with no weekly statistics. I've been twice. Once was sold out, the other time the last 5 rows of the orchestra were empty.
Hopefully it does well. It's a great production.

Posted: 9/22/11 at 7:26pmIt doesn't hurt that the minimum off-broadway salary for actors is nowhere near as high as for what broadway actors get paid.

Posted: 9/23/11 at 4:44pmGot third row center seats on TKTS two weeks ago and would say the theatre was a little more than half-full. This was for a Wednesday evening performance, so I'm not sure if that's the norm.

Posted: 9/23/11 at 5:26pmI went last Saturday afternoon. Even though there were only 12 people at the lotto, the show was mostly full, with a few scattered seats in the rear orchestra, and maybe one empty row upstairs.

Posted: 9/23/11 at 9:21pmI've gone a few times, it always seems to be pretty full. Some days are definitely better than others.

Posted: 9/23/11 at 10:13pmI definitely do not think it's taken off the way some assumed it would.

Posted: 9/24/11 at 2:23amA full theater is no indication of how the show is doing financially, it is how much the audience paid for those tickets.

Posted: 9/30/11 at 12:21pmI saw it in it's first week back and the house was packed. New World Stages could barely hold everyone waiting in the lobby. It is such a well done show and I truly hope it does well. They need to be more clear about where the Stage Door is because I looked for it and missed Mimi and Joanne but luckily caught everyone else.
