How is Soul Doctor coming back AGAIN!?

According to whom? You? This is the equivalent of any church production, so it's really not a huge deal. If it's enjoyable to some people, this is good for them.

I didn't see it at NYTW, Broadway, and I doubt I'll see it this time. So, how has this wasted my time or money?!

Do you think any of the people who are putting their time and money into it think they're wasting it? Is it YOUR time or money?

And this isn't new, it was announced a while ago.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

No one forces anyone to spend their money on any show.It is their money and time. Last time I heard it was individual choice. I could say a lot of shows are a waste of time and money.

I saw it once and that was enough. Did not hate it or love it. It was what it was.

It might be a waste of time and money to YOU. But maybe not to other people who have actually enjoyed the show in the past.

I enjoyed parts of the Broadway version, mostly in the first act and since this new version is now only one act, I'm looking forward to seeing if a tighter show is an improvement. And I'm assuming like the first time, there won't be any money to be wasted, if you know what I mean.

It doesn't seem like anyone from the Broadway cast is attached to this. Also, Dan'yelle Williamson is playing Nina, probably the only highlight of the show.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Wonder if any of the Bway cast is in it?

Doesn't seem like the classiest venue.

To Rent/Wicked

I did not say it was a waste of time & money. I saw it & modestly enjoyed it. Would I run back to see it again? NO

"This is the equivalent of any church production, so it's really not a huge deal."

It's actually an Off-Broadway contract.

"i originally thought it was about Motown. Maybe it needs a new title"

It was originally titled Schlomo the Musical. I kid you not. Carlbach was known as the soul doctor, hence the new title. His daughters were very involved when the show was on Broadway, so I imagine that's also the case here. They believe in their father's work and want to keep bringing to people.
It's their money to spend, and they aren't trying to misrepresent the show. They're just keeping it alive.

I didn't love it when I saw it, but it was a great cast (Eric Anderson, formerly of South Pacific, currently in The Last Ship) was a charismatic Carlbach. I saw it on a comp, but I'm glad I went.

That's not what I meant, in any capacity.
