Actually Howard is 38.
um...she's not even a great film actor
THANK YOU, SIR!
James Earl Jones as Big Daddy is absolutely outstanding.
Wow. I stand corrected. I always assumed he was younger. Now I must self-lecture.
Rose, the internet is your friend. Use it often. Use it well.
I read in a Backstage article that JEJ once brought down the house with a scene he did as Big Daddy for the nontraditional casting project. I can hardly wait for this production, and I only hope that Charles Turner won't be going on for JEJ the night I go. j/k love ya Charles
"Somehow I can't understand how an African American cast would bring any new textures to a play that is set on a Southern plantation and has servants called "Lacy" and "Sooky"."
o i don't know.....maybe because there WERE Southern black PROMINENT families who had housestaff who happened to be black in the time period of the play. Lynn Whitfield comes from a long line of Southern black aristocracy... I guess it's sooooo far off to believe that not all black people come from the ghetto.

I hope this production pushes through seamlessly!
Though, it keeps me worrying, who'll be the first one to drop out due to "scheduling conflicts" or something like it?
Dang! Any chance that Debbie Allen will do some choreography? Perhaps a tap dance to the Saving Private Ryan theme again?
I am looking forward to this, though. I believe groups sale are going into June, but Howard is only confirmed until April 13.
Rashad will of course be luminous.
