I'm New...Wanted To Say Hello!

Hi everybody,

I just joined the message board and wanted to sign in to say Hello. I live in Virginia and, believe it or not, I have never seen a Broadway play. But, I do love to read and collect the Playbills (given to me by friends) and hear all the different stories.

I'm looking forward to hearing all of your questions/stories and joining in whenever I can. And, hopefully, I'll be able to get to New York soon to see a Play in person...just like everybody else.

Welcome ethel5. I hope you will find that this board is filled with many charming, interesting, opinionated, delightful and lovely posters - and a few, well, not so much. Were there 4 ethels ahead of you or is there some significance to the "5" in your name?

And to "IAMWHATIAM"...I don't know if there are 4 ethels ahead of me. I chose only "ethel" as my username but somehow "the system" chose to call me ethel5. So, I guess that's who I am now. (Thanks for asking).

Stay away from off topic (especially politics) until you are here for maybe 20 years.

Never saw a Broadway show...boy, us New Yorker's take a lot for granted sometimes.

Have you seen any Broadway shows on tour that might travel into Virginia? Some touring shows are really amazing (and others not so much but you can say the same thing about B'way shows on B'Way)
