Cap - sorry then for the misinterpratation (WTF Why can't I spell?)

Second, I have been around for a long time (you know the usual story, forgetting my email/password combo)...and I know he likes to joke - I just feel like it is inappropriate now - esp. since SO many people have been joking about it...

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I must say that some of these WICKEDHEADS' (or whatever they like to be called) avatars are nicely made.

Back on topic? There really isn't much more to say until after the show, another news release is posted, or 442 wishes to exchange words again.

I'm betting that in the end when Elphaba climbs through the trap door at the end so we can all see shes alive that it will be Idina coming through instead. This is ONLY SPECULATION, and it depends entirely on if she is well enough to leave the hospital of course. Maybe she couldn't even climb through, but I just could see it happening that way.

What time is the matinee?

(Sorry, but only seeing the show once, and liking it, as opposed to loving it, I don't know when the matinee for WICKED is. Shoot me.)

I don't think so, as she has to climb out.

I think she will sing "For Good" and come out for a curtain call at the end. That's it. (And I do think, even if she isn't IN the show at all, that she will be greenified.)

"Elphaba fell down the trapdoor today.
Let's have a celebration the Glinda way!"

There was no defying gravity at this performance.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Who knows if this has been posted (there are too many pages on this thread to read through) but Playbill.com woke up and changed their article. It has some more "factual" details about the extent of her injury rather than all of speculation that seems to be around.

Justice, I admit your first one probably many pages ago was funny, but those were just lame.

No one can top papa.

Thank you, azeller.

WELL, Playbill.com who earlier posted an article finally broke in the news! Ironic THEY are the ones who gave the most up-to-date facts.

After the curtain call, the Tony-winning actress will be brought onto the stage by her Wicked co-stars so she can take her final bow at what was to be her last performance as the misunderstood Elphaba.

I'm really glad she'll be there for curtain call. That way she and her fans will have closure.

That's nice; at least she'll have a chance to say her final goodbyes and thank yous and get the standing ovation she deserves.
I hope nobody who had tickets for tiday's matinee scalped their tickets yet, because that would suck for them.

I also feel bad for her fans that like KILLED to get these tickets
At least they'll see her final bow

Wait! You mean that Idina's gonna steal the spotlight from the Shosh? I would say that that is a bit unfair. Don't get me wrong, i prefer Idiva to the Shosh, but, from an actor's point of view that is kind of an ego deflate.

I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said....but I love Idina, saw her in the show twice (and was very disappointed I couldn't get tix for today)...and I just hope she has a speedy recovery. What unfortunate timing. Remember the purpose of this thread??

Bean will still bow, unless she doesn't want to.

Spotlight won't be "stolen." Bean has a year contract in the show! The Wicked/Idina fans will then also become obsessed with Shoshana, and when Shoshana moves on to a new show, a fanbase will follow her.
