sutton, No I could have not recorded it because I live in MD and don't have cash to go to NYC.
If you type in jackie burns if/then on twitter, the link is in the second tweet.
I think the person would still be pissed (and rightfully so. CLEARLY stated to not link). A simple internet search on obvious websites should do.

I cannot believe you can exchange if a headliner isn't in the show in NY, You just cannot do this in the West End.
How do they get away with that? In this case the title of the show is practically Idina Menzel in If/Then. I can understand the disappointment and the exchanging of tickets for a later date, but I don't understand the twitter berating.

Blethering Scot, if an above the title actor is out of the show (for example Idina Menzel, Bryan Cranston, Alan Cumming, Michelle Williams) you can exchange or refund your tickets, here on Broadway.

A friend of mine who I was with this afternoon was getting texts from someone who works at the Richard Rodgers theatre. Idina is out again tonight. Apparently there was some sort of "incident" but wouldn't share anything else with anyone. Who knows what that means, but hopefully everything is ok.
I have the inside scoop. Two college students thought it was Just Another Day at if/then but after reading Idina was out the girl went into a hysterical fit and was hospitalised. At the hospital they also told her she was pregnant, and apparently she was pretty worried about how she was going to finish her architectural degree. I heard her name was Diana and she was with her boyfriend Dan. Sounds like a pretty good premise for a musical.

An "incident" sounds a lot scarier than a cold. I really hope everything is okay with Idina. That's not the most comforting thing to hear a week before making the trip up to see the show. If I lived locally and could easily return another day I would not want a refund, but it would be a bit frustrating after making a long trip. I saw someone on Twitter saying they were offered free tickets to come back another night. If anyone can confirm the refund/exchange policy for this particular situation, that would be much appreciated. Updated On: 5/16/14 at 08:57 PM
Out and out worship of a Broadway actor or actress boarders on sickness. You like theater fine but to go into a hysterical fit and wind up in a hospital because the star does not appear borders on insanity.
If I was seeing Gypsy starting Patti LuPone and Miss LuPone became ill, I would be very upset because the entire show has been billed around her. Same thing with NPH in Hedwig, Audra McDonald in Lady Day, or even Barbra in Funny Girl.

How many people have done that? How is it different from going to see every panned show just so you can go around saying it wasn't as bad as everybody says? When is a person's obsession just a thing, and when is it insanity?
Upset is one thing but to go into hysterics and wind up in a hospital is a bit much
Hey I do not want to lose when I go to play at a slot machine but I do not go into a hissy fit when it happens. If there is a possibility of this happening this party simply should not bother going because it could happen again.

I think that comment was in jest - a joke on Next To Normal.
I think it was true. We shall never know
What about someone who sees a show 50 times? That is an illness and an expensive one at that
Incident? Did she fall through a trap door again?
...wasn't she just on The Talk this morning? Or was that prerecorded?

Roxy, it was clearly a Next to Normal joke. Either that or someone's life mirrors the exact details of the show, down to the characters' names.

The Talk was prerecorded on Tuesday I believe, so it was well before she got sick.
Yikes. I hope all is well with her.

Actually, we knew when we read the post because we saw Next to Normal. Facts, baby, FACTS.
An incident! Now it's getting juicy.
She IS in fact sick - she rehearsed on Wednesday for the 9/11 thing; one of my friends was a talent "wrangler" and texted me saying she was sick - but was still rehearsing.
So unless she has some horrible terrible rare illness...she's just sick. She has a 4 year old and on top of all germs he brings home from school every day, she's been surrounded by hundreds of people for the last several weeks. It was only a matter of time before SOMETHING got her.
Also, Jackie sounds great!!
And yeah, The Talk was prerecorded.

Hopefully she can get some much needed rest. She has been on a non stop roller coaster ride since the Oscars.
Hope Idina is OK and that she can return to doing what she loves soon!!!
I understand being disappointed, but today's understudies could be tomorrow's Tony winners.
For example, I am huge fan of Barrett Wilbert Weed and bought my Heathers tickets shortly after the tickets went on sale. When I got to the theatre and saw that her understudy, Charissa Hogeland, would be on in her place, I was disappointed for about thirty seconds before a thought popped into my head: Laura Benatti was Rebecca Luker's understudy in The Sound of Music, and she went on to have (and is still having) a nice career. Norbert Leo Butz was Adam Pascal's understudy in RENT-- same scenario. So I said to my friend who was with me and said: "Maybe we'll be able to say we saw her (Charissa) back before she was big." And when the show was over, I was happy to have seen her because she gave a great performance, AND it prompted me to go home, follow her on social media, and download an album she's a part of on iTunes.
So, you never know.
I'd prefer to see Jackie over Idina. Jackie has a better voice. Idina was screechy and sharp when I saw her. Jackie has more control. I think WICKED irreparably hurt Menzel's voice.
Just heard some audio clips of Jackie and she sounds wonderful. I'm seeing the show on the 3rd and while I'm hoping that Idina will be there, seeing Jackie would clearly be a treat as well.
LOL, good one qolb. I got it at the Dan/Diana part.
