<< Testing1232,
I would assume they would want to do a song that mainly showed off their nominees, so maybe 96,000 or En Washington Heights for Lin and Robin and a bit of Pacienca y Fe' for Olga?
>>
That would work !!! "96,000" ALONE would sell tickets !!!
"En Washington Heights" introduces all of the characters, so that could be the number they choose. I will be excited for anything that they do !

I don't really get why people always think musicals should showcase all of their nominees. I think 96,000 would be the best choice for ITH because IMO, it's the best number in the show. A medely would not be a good choice for this show at all.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

It is one of the best numbers in the show and I I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the ones that they performed on Tony night.

I can see both points of view. I think people that have not seen a particular show might be curious as to why a certain person received a nomination, so showcasing that performer will allow them to see why. (whether or not they agree is another topic)
On the other hand, I agree... "96,000" is the best number, and I could see ticket sales booming if they perform it !

I was a bit disappointed because I thought they'd show the choreography and staging from the actual show, but I really love the song. Some of the lyrics changes from the demo are neat, especially the part they added at the end. Karen Olivo sounds fantastic!
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

Here is a video of the second half with the choreography. I don't think they should perform something that shows off the nominees, because there aren't many songs to do that with.

This song must be done on the Tonys. No question. Especially after seeing the YouTube video.

Another song they could do is Fire Works. The lighting is amazing in that. And the dancing and everything but they should do 96 G

Wow. That's so awesome. The energy is great, and I love the incorporation of modern hip-hop and rap into the score. That final chorus - the movement, the lighting, the sound, the energy...EVERYTHING! Wow.

I can't believe Rob Ashford won the Astaire Award for CRY-BABY over Andy Blankenbuehler's work on IN THE HEIGHTS.

I don't get that either.
I definitely think they should (and probably will) do 96,000, but the only reason I would want them to do a medley is so Olga could do Paciencia y Fe also.

They should definitely do 96,000 or the Fireworks song, but I think 96,000 would go over better out of context.

I hope they do "96,000" at the Tonys.
