I’ve noticed she’s been out a lot recently, and she’s out this entire week for the whole Cincinnati tour stop. Anyone have a scoop? She’s still listed on the show’s website as well. I hope she’s okay and that this was perhaps just a vacation pre-planned, but I was curious enough to ask anyway.
Walked past the National in D.C. this past Saturday and saw on the board that she was out. Could be an injury? Mary Jane has some difficult scenes to do 8 times a week.
Elizabeth Stanley talked about how physically demanding the role is. I haven't heard Heidi is injured, but she has been out a lot.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

So did I, and she's skipping my city entirely. I can exchange dates but that doesn't help. I'm sure her covers are great performers, but this is honestly just a show I don't have any actual interest in. I have a few days to decide to make the drive or just eat the cost
While it's possible Heidi is sick or injured (hopefully not!), it's worth noting that the production has a few days off in between Cincinnati and Charlotte, so she might just be taking advantage of that to get a nice long vacation in - basically 2 weeks off when you factor in that she was out all weekend in DC
I do find it interesting that she has been pretty active in regards to the tour stops and such on social media, but pretty much silence since March 4th.
Hope she’s doing well, whether it be injury or vacation.
It’s actually funny, Heidi’s understudy Bligh played Heidi’s daughter in a show called May We All last summer. It’s crazy they’re now playing the same role. Bligh did a great job last night, and while she is young, the wig and the costuming helped. She def reads mid-30s from the stage, still technically not age appropriate, but it didn’t distract as much as I thought it would.
Heidi's being heavily promoted in the current Chicago run. So I'd assume she's still in the show.

Heidi mentioned in an Instagram video a few weeks ago that she was dealing with a foot injury -- it's possible that she's on a modified schedule. She also tested positive for COVID pretty early in the tour, which caused her to miss the entire Portland engagement. I saw the tour twice during its 2-week stop in Philadelphia: once with Heidi and once with her understudy at the time, Lani Corson. Both were great and brought different qualities to the role, so I was glad to have been able to see both performances. (Lani has since left the tour, and I'm not sure who the current primary MJ understudy is.) I assume Heidi being out of the Cincinnati leg was a planned vacation.

Heidi just posted on Instagram that she was out with an injury for some of DC and all of Cincinnati and this was not planned. She also said it is difficult for her to do two shows in one day as she recovers and said it may take a bit for her to get to where she can do all 8 shows in a week again. This past weekend she did the night shows but not the matinees.
Yeah, I saw the understudy in Cincinnati--and she was AMAZING, so don't feel as if Heidi being out affects the show much--although Heidi would be just as amazing I am sure
I saw the show last night and Heidi was on, and that’s about where the positives end with this show.
