Is the Young Vic production of Oklahoma! still set to be filmed for release p?

When tickets went on sake the last four performances were supposed to be recorded and livestreamed as part of the Young Vic accessibility scheme, but it defo didn't happen and there is no information about that anymore on the website. So I guess not

Also, only a random theater blogger was the only source to mention this filming as it didn’t make news in any theater websites - no West End or Broadway news sites.  Also, this blogger deleted his article.  There ya go, Junie Moon.

No, the Young Vic website definitely said that the last 4 shows were to be recorded. But it was never supposed to be a National Theatre Live or Anything Goes kind of thing. Considering the nature of the staging there is also no way to capture it without making it awfully obtrusive for the in person audience.

I imagine the lighting design would have had to at least be rethought for film. A few scenes take place in total darkness or a single color wash which may not have worked on film.

I think it was reported that the dates that were blocked out for filming, were put back on sale with no seats blocked out. So that would mean the filming never happened.

As great as it would have been to get a pro shot of this production, Arthur Darvill's weird performance as Curly through the show off for me (however the rest of the cast was as good as Broadway's). The untethered innocence corrupted that Damin Duanno brought to the role was missing. Darvill's Curly was dark from the start.

I’m seeing this morning the show is likely to transfer to a West End Theatre next year which would explain it not getting filmed.
