Aww, that's horrible. But at lest he tried to hang in there. Some people wouldn't have bothered.
I'm starting to have horrible anxiety that Gavin won't be there on friday...Though I'm seeing a bunch of shows this coming weekend (Im going thursday july 9-tuesday the 14), I am coming to New York mainly to see HAIR...and to see Gavin perform in HAIR...I don't know what I'll do if he's not there...but hopefully he will be!!!

Each year at Broadway Barks, one-of-a-kind stuffed dogs that are signed by the casts (and in some cases, decorated by the wardrobe departments) of some of Broadway's hottest shows are auctioned to raise money for the Picasso Veterinary Fund of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals.
Here's your opportunity to own an Autographed Hound of Broadway from among some of Broadway's most popular shows and at the same time help NYC's homeless animals! Some of the 20 shows represented are All My Sons, Billy Elliott, Blithe Spirit, Equus, Hair, Hairspray, 9 to 5, South Pacific, West Side Story, and more. There is also a special hound honoring Broadway Barks, signed by founders Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore.
Hair, the Tony Award-winning musical for Best Musical Revival of 2009, is playing to standing room only crowds each day at the Hirschfeld Theatre. This show's hound has been signed by stars Gavin Creel, Sasha Allen, Allison Case, Casssie Levy, Darius Nichols, Bryce Ryness, Kacie Sheik, Will Swenson, and the rest of the talented cast. It also comes with its own wig, fringed vest, flower power patch, "love" necklace, and headband designed by the talented wardrobe staff: John A. Robelen III, Ginger Blake, and Danny Koye. This great little dog named Claude will "Let the Sunshine In" at your house if you are the lucky winning bidder.

Gavin tries not to call out very often. The other times he's been out were all within a couple of weeks, when he was sick and just had trouble getting back into full form because he kept wanting to go on.
He was out most recently because of a neck issue, and I'm willing to bet there will be a lot of PT involved to make sure that's no longer an issue. Here's hoping he's on so you can get to see him! (And because I think I'm going back on Friday, and as much as I love Jay's Claude, I want to see Gavin again.)
ok i want that dog..and if anyone hasn't heard yet gavin added another joe's pub show. same night, july 27th, at 11:30 after the first show. tickets go on sale thursday at 4 p.m. and i'm guessing this one will sell out fairly quick so if you want tickets glue yourself to your computer thursday afternoon.
Aaaaah I really really hope he's there. I'll be devastated. Absolutely heartbroken!!! I'll at least see him at Broadway Barks...aaaah I'm so worried
How recent has he been out???
I'm just trying to not think about it and hope for the best.
But I will really be devastated...he's the only person I care most about seeing. If it were an understudy/standby for anyone else, I would be ok with it as long as I saw him!

"Gavin got sick during the song "Hair" one night and had to run off the stage. Will took over Gavin's part and Steel Burkhardt sang Berger's. Gavin came back and finished the act, and then Jay went on after intermission. It was his first time going on in the role, if I'm not mistaken."
That's really interesting that they had Will see Gavin's part. I would like to see that.
hahaha sorry guys...I'm fine now. I'm sure he'll be there. I won't worry anymore.

I went on Sunday for my birthday all excited to see Gavin and he was out. Chances are he wouldn't be out again so soon.
Hopefully I will at least get tix to his second Joe's pub show .

On his Facebook, he mentioned having a stiff neck on the 4th and into Sunday morning. Probably why he was out. There's definitely a lot of head whipping around in the show and he probably couldn't handle it with an aching neck.

Aw. I hope he is feeling better soon. I really want to see him in the show. I wish I wasn't so short on cash/time!
Oh yeah I saw his status on the 4th...I do hope his neck is better so he can return to the show. I know that even if he's not there, and though I'll be extremely dissapointed, I will still LOOOOOOVE Hair!!!

It was still amazing without him because the tribe is outstanding. So you are guaranteed to have a good time whatever happens!
Yeah I can't wait...was he back tonight?? I'm pretty confident in seeing him. It's going to be amazing!
All principals were in tonight.
Sweet! That means they'll probably all be there on friday :)
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!

I think mariusmyhomeboy was talking about the stuffed dog (Claude), Jazz
But yes, Wally is adorable. And Gavin with Wally? Even more adorable. Did you see the "Ask a Star" video? I wanted to die from the cuteness.
