I've had GoodTimeNation on repeat for the past few days. I love "Fri Sat Sun", "Molly's Song", "For Nancy", "Might Still Happen" and "These Four Walls".
And "Hot Ohio" is so good.
I'm praying to baby jesus that he adds another show. I was on vacation and missed the announcement and found out way too late. It's a bit embarrassing how devastated I was.
Anyways here's to the hope of more shows! Come on Gavin!!!

Is Hot Ohio on your copy of GTN? I don't have that on mine. I really like that song though, I've heard it. My favorites on GTN are "Four Nancy", "Radio Lover", and "These Four Walls".
^ No, I listen to the youtube video.

i just bought GTN for like $25 on amazon. then i go to gavin's site and see it for $15. i got the cast recording of Hair for 9.95, no shipping cost on Amazon, as well. wonder why GTN so expensive on amazon; anyway love nancy's song. looking forward to his next.
$25! CD Baby has it for 9.99.
I hope he eventually records Hot Ohio! Replace 'Ohio' with 'Florida' and you have me at the moment.

I got GTN on iTunes for 9.99. I agree that Nancy's Song is the best track. It actually made me cry... And I don't do that often. Then combination of the pretty music and the lyrics (that I was really able to relate to) really made me emotional. To be honest, there isn't a single song that I don't like.
i am often in a huge debacle trying to decide to listen to GTN or the Hair cast recording. i am so pumped for his concert. does anyone the recording policies for Joe's Pub? can i record during the concert?
Goodtimenation is an incredible album. Really top-notch stuff. Gotta love "Radio Lover" and "Going to DC". But I just like bouncy songs.
I am so excited to see Gavin perform.

Goodtimenation is SO freaking great <33
For Nancy is both heartbreaking and ridiculously sweet/gorgeous, For Molly and These Four Walls are some of the most beautiful songs ever, and Radio Lover, Art of Heartbreak, Going to DC, and Fri. Sat. Sunday are so freaking fun!! Love them
I think the one I probably listen to most is Radio Lover just because it's the most fun and catchy one to me. But all of the aforementioned hold special places in my heart
I can't wait for him to do another album!

Since everybody is mentioning every other song, I figured that I should give a shout out to 'Rocket Ride'.
Saw the show and got to talk to Gavin yesterday. He was so gracious about my praise for GTN and i told him that Radio Lover has not gotten out of my head since first listen. He gives the best hugs EVER. And said see you on the 27th! I love him.

According to Playbill.com, "The understudies for the role of Claude are Jay Armstrong Johnson and Paris Remillard."

So Paris and Jay are going to share the role?

The latest update is that only Jay will be covering Claude during Gavin's vacation.

Good for him! WIll it be his first time on? Hopefully someone here can give us a review.

Nope, Jay's been on 5-6 (and a half) times now. I've seen him go on once, and he does a really fantastic job. Being 10+ years younger than Gavin, his Claude reads a lot younger and different, but he gives an excellent portrayal of the character.

And a half? What happened?

Gavin got sick during the song "Hair" one night and had to run off the stage. Will took over Gavin's part and Steel Burkhardt sang Berger's. Gavin came back and finished the act, and then Jay went on after intermission. It was his first time going on in the role, if I'm not mistaken.
