Wasn't Jackee Harry from Sister Sister going to be in Matilda? I just read that she was going to play Miss Phelps, now it's not her.
"DEAR NAOMI: The comedic actress of "227" and "Sister, Sister" fame is heading to Broadway as one of the stars of the forthcoming Matilda, the Musical. Based on the same Roald Dahl book as the 1996 feature film "Matilda," about a precocious young girl who loves to read, has unpleasant parents — and telekinetic capabilities — the new musical version won raves and awards on London's West End. It's set to open on Broadway in April, and Jakee is playing Miss Phelps."

I have never heard that she was even remotely considered by the creative team. I was also at Chelsea Studios working on another project during the time that they were doing final callbacks for the show and she certainly was nowhere to be seen.

Oooooh, she didn't get a call back, Meh-ree.
If Jackee were to return to Broadway, I would pee my pants and die from joy at the same time.

Ooooooh, Lester, you better get Mah-ree to wash those tight wet jeans.
Rose, tell Pearl to get her nosey ass away from that damn window!
She's actually involved in Girl Meets World, the spin off of Boy Meets World. The article was from yesterday.

Wicked-There were rumors of Jackee, being in Matilda
Maybe it's at least a possibility for the future?

Rumor has it that I am, but nothing has been solidified. RT "@tvrfan1814: @JackeeHarry Are u going to be in Matilda on Broadway? #AskJackee" (https://twitter.com/JackeeHarry/status/320630733989367808)
Ooooooh yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if she's in it by the end of the year
Dammit! Now I want to wait and see it with Jackee.
The lady who plays the librarian right now is very good — better than the original, who I saw across the pond. They should keep her and avoid the stunt casting. Or... is this whole thing a running joke that I somehow missed?
