She's been working nonstop for years now. Couldn't happen to a better person, either. Excited to see what the future holds.
Ruthie Ann Miles?!? YIPPIE!!!!!! I'm so thrilled to have a ticket! This makes up for not being able to attend The Last Five Years!!!

I've been wondering this for months. It's unclear. The poster outside City Center says original direction by James Lapine, but I don't know if he's directing this as well.

Add me to the list of people who'd prefer to see Carmen Cusack as Dot. She was sooo AMAZING as Dot in the Chicago production with Jason Danieley a few years ago. Her 'We Do Not Belong Together' was heartbreaking.
Ray and all that jazz, how much are you selling your ticket for? I can't gauge if I can get it for a little less than what I'm seeing on StubHub at the moment.
Did anyone try to get tickets for the matinee that was added? According to the site, tickets went on sale to members at noon. I'm getting "no availability." I'm not sure if I'm a member or not. My one-year membership was close to expiring.
I got an email today; "members only presale" macnyc...so probably just members for a couple days.

Thanks, Steve! I had forgotten that a code was needed after logging in. I guess I am still a member, and there are plenty of seats available, at least right now.
Got 'em! Balcony Left Row J. Does anyone know the approximate run time of this concert?

I'm assuming shorter, given that (a) it is a "concert" version of the musical, and (b) there is a gala and post-performance dinner the first night - the show starts at 6pm that night, and I suspect they want to start the gala/dinner proceedings by 8:00 or 8:30. So I would guess a 90 minute to 2hr run time. But I'd check with the theatre if you need to know.

Usually, the fact that it's a concert version has no bearing on the runtime. The entire show is normally presented, dialogue and all, just without full costumes and sets. I know I'll probably have to change the time of my transportation home based on Wednesday night's time change to 7:30.

Did we ever find out who the director of this is?
I searched on Instagram for New York City Center, and there is a photo of the poster outside the theater. It lists the director as a person called Sarna Lapine, whom I am guessing is related to the show's librettist.

thank you. That must be a new change, because there wasn't a director last time I looked at that poster.
According to her website she directed the musical in Ohio. She has also been the assistant director of several Broadway productions.

She is the niece of James.

Am I wrong that they didn't officially announce this? It certainly wasn't in the press release with the rest of the cast.
Bumping this since performances are this week! I can't overstate how excited I am
I just got an email saying the running time should be about 3 hours (intermission included)
Y'all...this is going to be a performance for the ages. I'm so incredibly excited. (And hopeful for some kind of life after this performance. Transfer, recording. You name it, I want it.)
To anyone still looking for tix, Goldstar has some listed for the Wednesday matinee at a decent discount.
Tonight, tonight, tonight!
Haven't stopped thinking about it all day. I am soooo excited!!!
