Hey...long time reader, first time posting, had a question for the board. I was just watching Jessie Mueller's most recent Show People interview with Broadway.com and they mentioned a tumblr account about her family and their work and I was just wondering if anyone had seen any other members of her family onstage? She mentioned her sister being in Kinky Boots...does she understudy any major parts? Has she gone on? Has anybody seen her parents or siblings onstage in Chicago?
I'm a big fan of hers so was just curious about the rest of them and how good they are!
Her brother was in Peter and the Starcatcher in NYC (though I'm not sure if it was on Broadway or off).
Her father is playing Mr. Lundy in Chicago's new production of "Brigadoon."
Her father is on stage right now in Brigadoon at the Goodman.
Imagine evenings around the piano in that house!
Abby Mueller covered Pat for a week . . . unfamiliar with the show.
I saw Abby when she went on as Pat a few weeks ago. I thought she was great!

I've seen most of them perform at one time or another in Chicago. They are all very talented. In the spring of 2011, I saw Jessie play Mary in a production of Merrily We Roll Along, and her brother Andrew (who was in the ensemble when I saw it) understudied Charlie and went on opposite her for the extension of the run. Not long before that, Jessie and Abby played Miss Adeleide and Sarah in Guys & Dolls. There can be a certain novelty factor in seeing family members perform together, and it really emphasizes the communal feel of the Chicago theatre community.

I think I saw her brother in Peter and the Starcatcher...was he in the New World Stages production? I'd have to check my Playbill to be sure though. A friend saw her brother Matt as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet a few years back and said he was fantastic.

I know right!? It can't be easy to make a living as an actor, and to think all 6 of them are doing it...amazing.
Abby Mueller was recently a wonderful Abigail Adams in 1776.
Her brother was in the off-Broadway cast of Peter. He played Prentiss. Very nice guy also.
I also saw Abby Mueller in 1776. She was very good, and reminded me a lot of Jessie. It was actually quite funny because 1776 was playing in San Francisco at ACT, right next to the Curran theatre where Beautiful was doing its pre-Broadway run. So Jessie and Abby were performing right next door to each other, and I got to see them both in the same week.

It'd be awesome if they could all do a show together. Though I can't imagine there are many options without it getting very weird and wrong with romantic pairings.

Her brother played Mark in a major revival of RENT in the Chicago area last year.
Jessie and Abby's Adelaide and Sarah were absolutely delightful. The talent in that family is ridiculous.

Does anyone know if there is video footage or audio of Guys and Dolls or Merrily? I think Jessie would be great as Mary and hilarious as Adelaide.
Here is a clip from Guys and Dolls. Adelaide's Lament begins at 3:54. Also, her sister Abby plays Sarah Brown and a clip with her begins at 5:23.

Note: There is an annoying beep for the first 10 seconds before the clip starts.

Those Guys and Dolls clips are great :) Thanks for sharing!
Wow! That looked like an amazing production! I am pretty convinced that Jessie can do anything. If you think about it her roles have been EXTREMELY diverse, which I really appreciate from an actor. Taking chances and excelling in many types of characters,

Well, if NY can't get Jessie into a Funny Girl revival, maybe she could do it in Chicago?
Here is Jessie as Amalia in She Loves Me (Writers Theatre - Chicago - 2010):

BTW, Rod Thomas who played Georg in this production is now in the Goodman Theatre's production of Brigadoon as Jeff the secondary male lead. He is playing opposite her dad who plays Mr. Lundie.

She seems like a great Amalia...wish she could reprise some of these roles in NY! Or maybe do a concert? Have any of the other Muellers been on Broadway besides Jessie and Abby?
^She did reprise her Jeff-Winning performance as Carrie Pipperidge in 'Carousel' at the New York Philharmonic last year.
As for other family members, I think both Jessie & Abby are the only ones who've so far actually been on Broadway (not counting one of her brothers because he did 'Peter & the Starcatcher' Off-Broadway), though her boyfriend is actually in the touring production of 'War Horse' which is currently in the middle of its last stop in Japan.

Wow, hahah, that's a lot of talent for one household. Somebody should write an article about them or a video interview or something.
