Also, I dont think anyone actually cares Joseph enough where this beats the Movie Musical odds. Especially if it's his next movie coming off Wicked with how much expansion Joseph would actually need compared to Wicked."
That's what I meant, for the lead roles, the ones with big songs.
I wish he would do another project instead of Joseph, like Aida or Miss Saigon.

Does he? Tell that to Michelle Yeoh, Marissa Bode, and Melissa Barrera."
I would hardly consider Madame Morrible a real singing role. Does she even have more than 16 bars per act? I wouldn't consider most of those who have played her to be particularly great singers, and the role does not require it.

Or that King & I remake that Paramount tried to get off the ground a few years ago

I agree that he should do Miss Saigon. Joseph is a wonderful school show, a bible story cartoon musical with off-Broadway 60s styled anachronisms. I don't think Joseph will make a great film. I fear it will be like the movie of Cats ....

I don’t know how long I can stay patient. In The Heights and Wicked gave me faith in Chu.

While I also have faith, I wish he'd leave this alone. Donny Osmond was perfect.

^ In my personal defense, the Donny Osmond proshot was good. But doesn’t do the full seeing the show live and in person experience justice. Maybe the new movie will be a slight bit enjoyable in spite of all that. But they need real sone genuine vocalists for the cast.

I saw this on tour in CA, not the pre-Broadway tour that went to Broadway with Michael Damian, but the post-Broadway tour of that show when Sam Harris was on as Joseph. His “Close Every Door To Me” brought the house down. It was an unbelievable performance of that number.

I don't care who he casts- there's no reason to do this movie.
