Katie Rose Clarke's replacement in Wicked is confirmed — Page 3

Danny, thats so funny. Wicked was my first live professional musical about two years ago. And I caught the bug. I started to learn about more shows and found this place in June. Obviously I am no expert and have yet to see a lot of shows, but I am learning, mostly from this site. Sorry, I felt I had to share that because of similar stories :)

Anyhow I knew I knew Chandra from somewhere, Hairspray, duh. Excited to see what she does with the role.

I saw them in Louisville in January from the front row, Katie did sing the note when I saw her. Katie, not an understudy.

I saw her twice, and both times, nobody sang the last note. She sang the first quarter of it, then her mouth shut, and she stood there looking heartbroken, both nights. I was a tad disappointed!

Anyways, thanks so much for answering my question, and paying special attention to that part!

BRAVO to Stephanie Torns, understudy for the role of Elphaba in tonights Seattle production of Wicked. She was AMAZING, and was wonderful in the role!!!

And Chandra, an absolutely terrific Glinda, so funny, SO active.....SO giddy......she was a joy to watch

By "this generation," I meant younger people like Katie. Not people who are still pretty young and already established as major talents (Audra McDonald, for example). Just read any of NickChopper's posts to see how he's an idiot. Btw, I never said I'm not an idiot.
