I know it's a while to go yet, but I noticed some names popping up on twitter about casting so figured I'd ask: has anyone heard any news on casting for the Kinky Boots tour? So far I've seen on twitter Sam Zeller and Bonnie Milligan are in the tour, assuming in the ensemble.
I wish Billy Porter would tour like Alice Ripley. A Tony winner touring with the show. That would've been awesome. I hope we get a funny Lauren that can bring the same characteristics as Annaleigh Ashford gave her.
I selfishly hope Billy Porter will at least do the Los Angeles stop.
Bonnie Milligan is playing Pat and I'm sure she'll be AMAZING
What about Mark Evans (currently toying in BOM) as Charlie??
Kyle Taylor Parker (current Angel/u.s Lola on Broadway) is playing Lola on Tour!

Anyone know who's replacing Kyle in the Broadway ensemble?
And I'm sure Ricky Schroeder being cast in the ensemble has nothing to do with the fact that he's banging the director. Not that I have a problem with it. I just find it amusing.
(BWW also spelled his last name incorrectly.)
LOVE Lindsay Chambers in Submissions-her deadpan response is hilarious.
Cats-I'm no prude[check my avatar]-but that's not a nice thing to say-if you don't have a problem with it-why say it??
Because I found it amusing. Should I have said dating instead of banging?
Hope Billy Porter does the LA stop like Lin-Manuel Miranda did with In the Heights.
Yeah, cause it's the first time a director cast his paramour in a show?
I would have said it's not the first time someone got ahead by giving head but yours works too.
Me thinks that some people just delight in information that is irrelevant, but, if that's what gets you off...so be it.

I'm sorry, but "got ahead by giving head" made me laugh out loud. I can't deny it.
Billy Porter on tour? Yeah, that'll happen never.
Porter can't keep his voice in shape in NYC, and I don't see him being silly enough to croak through shows on the road, Tony winner or not.
I also think it's time for him to step down and let someone else take their shot: Porter's performance has degraded quite a bit over the years of this show. It looks and sounds nothing like it did in Chicago (sadly).

His speaking voice was pretty shot when I saw it in Chicago. He sang well, but croaked all his lines due to his exaggerated affected speech on EVERY SINGLE LINE.
I never enjoyed him the role. And I'm surprised the director's bf is touring. You'd think he'd want him in NYC with him. Hm.

Just echoing these sentiments. If his voice was at its best in the Chicago run, then I cringe to think of where it’s at now. It was pretty painful to listen to him vocalize, whether singing or speaking; because of both the losing of his voice and his overdone, stereotypical line readings. I never heard Lola speak like a real person once in that show, which made it impossible for me to connect (and, therefore, care) about the character.
Anyone seen Kyle Taylor Parker as Lola? Thoughts? Interesting casting- no one makes me jump up and down- but good casting.
Croak?....Billy Porter?? - I must respectfully disagree. Even on a bad day, he can still sing circles around most people. I've been blessed to see his performance as Lola 9 times (and counting), and he was fabulous every time. I would think he's entitled to be a little hoarse every once in a while; especially when he gives his all and sings FULL-OUT every time he takes the stage. I, for one, appreciate that. No lip syncing here!!
Might I suggest listening to his new CD "Billy's Back on Broadway"??

I agree about Billy..I think he's great.
I have not seen Kyle in the show but I know people who have and say he is AMAZING!!! He is an extremely nice guy and so everyone is thrilled for him.
