re: Kristin Chenoweth guest stars on GLEE!

How is the show doing? Are the ratings holding up? Most people I know have gotten a little tired of it.

*Hopes she goes back to conservative christian music, so I never have to listen to her or see her EVER again*

re: Kristin Chenoweth guest stars on GLEE!

It's getting like anywhere between 6-7 million people on average per week.

Not bad by any means but not particularly incredible. Some other shows are KILLING already (Modern Family, Cougar Town, The Good Wife, etc are all getting like over 11 million people...or at least did in their premieres.)

I mean, for a new show, it's pretty good. I bet once Idol starts up they'll position it behind Idol and it'll do well then. I believe it slipped in the ratings last week though.

Last week, it won in the 18-40 demographic which reportedly is what Fox was aiming for. It's not about the total numbers - it's about who those numbers represent.

I thought her song choices were AWFUL. She was hilarious though. But her character was just pointless. I feel like the show just meanders. I want to know more about the kids. Like last week's episode with Kurt was so touching and beautiful, but this weeks was just kind of like "and now a little Cheno...." It just didn't seem to progress anything. And "Maybe This Time," while a great song, was just done horribly. Was she trying to be a sultry jazz singer?

I thought Kristin was great. I loved all three songs she sang and she was hilarious. The writing is kinda iffy in this show tho. There are some really funny jokes but the plot seems as if a middle school class is writing them. I actually live in Lima Ohio. I don't know any High School show choirs around here that sound and dance as professional as they are in this show lol. I enjoyed the episode tonight tho.

Catching up on tonight's episode right now...and so far I *love* Kristin Chenoweth. Her voice sounds great and I am also enjoying her acting. Wonderful addition to this show (which I am not crazy about to begin with). I hope she can guest star again.

I love that they're putting on a production of Cabaret that includes "Maybe This Time" even though the only legally licensed script does not include that song.

Great episode tonight. Only from the dirty mind of Ryan Murphy. It was actually refreshing to hear Kristin Chenoweth sing stuff outside her usual repertoire. Of course she had to throw in the high note during the singoff with Lea Michele, but I loved it. It's great escapist TV.

Artie, the guy in the wheelchair, sang a lot in "Somebody to Love" and his part was cut. Ugh!

I feel like we're getting too much Lea Michele in this show. I HATED the cowboy them dancing.

Like most people I wasnt a fan of the songs chenoweth sang
and I agree the hole story with Lea about being a star is starting to get really annoying

re: Kristin Chenoweth guest stars on GLEE!

My problem is that I don't think Lea Michele is that great. I mean, her voice is very good, but I don't think she's zomg amazing like the show wants me to think.

I also feel like she gets the worst dialogue.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

Last night she crossed the line from 'sorta bitchy' to 'really bitchy'.

She needs to be slapped.

I agree a 100%

Anyways, I did enjoy the episode although I had no desire to watch this, Kristin surprised me with really good acting. I think she really did terrific for a poorly written and stereotypical character. She definetly did great, I actually liked her version of "Alone" but "Maybe This Time" was shrill and awful. And that Carrie Underwood song sucked too, but they picked popular hits that people know, obviously, even if they don't fit her voice.

Sorry, not every song is going to be Broadway. If that's the only type of music you can tolerate, hit the road now and save yourself heartache. As for "how's it doing?" "Glee" is the only new show of the season to receive a full 22 episode commitment from any network.

I haven't looked at the message boards for a long time--I'm glad I looked at this thread because it reminds me of why I stopped looking all those years ago. Just bitter bees trying to spit peas at Kristin Chenowith and putting down one of the few shows that actually uses production numbers and Broadway people. It's sad--well, I'll just stop checking in for another few years or so.

I rarely if ever agree with [DELETED] Chita Rivera, whose very screen name pisses me off, but I agree with [DELETED] Chita Rivera.

I feel like Glee is finally it's footing, but while I generally like Lea Michele, I really hate Rachel Berry. Her crazy bitch level went way up this episode, although came back down a little at the end. And aside from Jane Lynch only having one yet hysterical scene, I thought this episode was great. And it's no secret that I love Kurt, as evidenced by my avatar...haha.
