now that Vanya is closed ... what are some roles you can see Miss Nielsen playing in the future ?? I hope she becomes more of a Broadway mainstay like Judith Light has been recently or someone like Cherry Jones. she's so lovely but tends to do more Off-broadway stuff. and unlike those other actresses Kristine is strictly a theatre actress and rarely does film/tv roles which makes me love her even more.

"I'd go see her shop for groceries."
I believe that's what the kids these days would call "stalking"

During the rounds of press for the Tony nominations this year, Nielsen cited her dream role as Dolly Levi in THE MATCHMAKER (she said the limitations of her singing prevent her from being able to do Dolly in HELLO, DOLLY!)
I'd love to see that happen.

That's so funny, Somethingwicked as Dolly in The Matchmaker was the first role I thought of for this thread.
Other than that, I can see her doing so many roles brilliantly (given they were demographically appropriate), it might be easier to make a list of roles I can't see her succeeding in.
