Just go my tix today for "Wicked" in Chicago on March 25th so I guess I'll be seeing Kristy as Elphaba. This will be my fifth time seeing the show. I've seen Stephanie, Ana, and Maria do the role up to this point. Of these three, Maria was my least favorite but I still thought she was good. I loved both Stephanie and Ana. Maybe Kristy will grow in the role when she takes over for Ana. It must be difficult to play Elphaba only occasionally. This will be the first time my parents have seen the show, so I'm really hoping for the best.

I saw her in Toronto on the 18th of March.

She was okay, but I was disappointed in not seeing Steph, who at that time, I hadn't heard. I still prefer Shoshana over anyone else, but I think she makes a splendid Elphaba and I wish her the best in whatever she plans to do in the future!

Just listened to her singing all the big songs and very impressed! Its nice to hear what an actress with a different vocal setup/style/whatever does with the role. All the vibratto and solid belt is wonderful to listen to. Plus her acting was up there too i thought.

Saw her in Toronto on March 16, 2005. Took me some time to warm up to her (getting used to the very different voice) but by "Defying Gravity" she had me sobbing. Love her to death AND she's a total sweet heart in real life.

I loved her interpretation. A bit of Idina in her tendencies (that's good) but she really made the part her own. There were several moments watching her and I smiled and went "YES, THAT is how it's to be done". Like right before she closes the curtain before melting, she looked over at Kendra, tears streamed down her face and held her finger to her lips and I felt like she was going "No matter what you hear, don't make a sound..." Weird channeling there, but it was so bloody perfect how she did that. LOVE HER and so happy she's Elphaba in Chicago.

I saw Wicked in Chicago with the OCC and they were brilliant! Less than a year before I got to see Idina'a last performance on Broadway and I must say they were equally great productions! I recently had the opportunity to see Kristy as Elpheba and she definatly did NOTHING for me! Extremely average and amature. It is extremely unfortunate but Chicago is loving Wicked so much so many people could probably care less who is in the role.

(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

look everyone is diffrent and everyone is entitled to their opinion but like she has a diffrent voice noit everyone can be idina, stephanie, shoshana, eden you know what i mean? so like its nice to hear something diffrent. I liked how she had a classical tone because people this is where people get all their training from lol

steph, eden, shosh, ana, idina THEY ALL HAVE CLASSICAL TRAINING

and without shows written by gershwin, cole porter,r&h, i mean broadway wouldnt be broadway. It all originated from that people, and i believe that classical theater is so under appreaicated these days. I mean i love kristy and she is so talented and has a great voice.we all have our styles that we enjoy, but it all comes from the classical standpoint (thats where music was originated,in the classical era)so look thats my opinion but i thought i would just stress on it, because i think classical musical theater and PLAYS (actually plays period)are so under appreciated, and if youre an acotr you have to have a wide variety of things you can do OTHER THAN MODERN (shoshana for example) so take my word people,

REMEMBER THIS IS MY OPINION

i would like to hear peoples responses ,if you would like to email me personallyu please do at

thanks so much
