"And we have an announcement. We’ve been getting a ton of requests and so —

For those looking to do a production of Lysistrata Jones, Douglas Carter Beane and Lewis Flinn will be coming out with a SECOND version of the show for High Schools — guaranteed to get passed by any school Board.

It will be called Lysistrata Jones: Varsity Edition and will be coming out along with the regular script very soon!"

Also, the entire website has been updated and features a fan section with a full-length clip of the musical number, "Change the World." In addition, a section has been created for the cast album when more information will be available.

It's totally going to be dancing. The girls won't go to the clubs with them until they win, so they sneak out to the local under 21 club and meet a nice girl who agrees to dance with them.

Or maybe they withhold cookies. No baked goods until you win. So they go to a bake sale on campus and make pigs of themselves while a nice girl sells them anything they want.

I'm also assuming that MTI picked up the rights since they really push the High School editions of shows.

This is one the stupider ideas I've heard in a long time.

I think it's ridiculous when adult shows like Rent or Avenue Q get edited down to high school versions. But I understand it from a financial standpoint. Those shows have name value. Schools want to do them.

What school wants to do a show about sex that ran on Broadway for a few weeks over Christmas?

I think this is a much different situation than other shows which flopped on Broadway that high schools often do (Seussical, Smile, etc.)
