Posted: 11/28/05 at 8:38amI don't think that anyone should get upset with the opinion of anyone else here but you should just consider the source and move on. I personally would find it hard to listen to the opinion of someone who thinks that Brooke Shields is one of the finest performers on Broadway so I'm really not too bothered by anything else that is said by certain people because we obviously have extremely different opinions. Such is life.

Too much drama.
This interview is from a month ago. Jesus.
Anyone I love how some have to bash Brooke Shields to prove their point, and feel good about themselves. Get over it. Brooke is becoming a well respected name on Broadway, by the critics and fans. She dosen't have the best singing voice. Big deal. She can dance, and is a fabulous comedienne, who was compared to Lucy Ball with her comic skills in WONDERFUL TOWN.
And once her new project with Sherie Rene Scott gets started, we'll really see what she can do. A Tony nomination is in her future for sure.
I love Patti LuPone and Brooke Shields. Is that a sin?

ljay889, you just admitted that you think brooke can't sing well. Don't you think that's essential when in a broadway production? I thought broadway had higher standards. I'd rather see a regular actor who can sing act and dance and is on broadway because they worked their asses off to get there not because they were child stars and had their mommies lead the way for them.

LUpone gives the performance of a lifetime.
I adore Sondheim. This production is the strangest set I have ever seen but I was amazed at the talent of the entire cast.
LUpone is BEYOND WORDS.
And I want her wig.
I do think that was the best interview I have seen of P L.
Kathy is an interview GENIUS.
