Can you believe this?? First of all, JCM ORIGINATED the role. Also, how offensive is that quote?? I'm sorry but as someone who has seen Hedwig almost 10 times, I can't believe how disrespectful Taye could be to the show... So unhappy. I will NEVER give my money to him.

But fyi I am seeing Darren in June.

Because I love Taye Diggs onstage and I would love to see him play the lead role in a musical where he sings a ton of songs.

No offense, Carlos, but you have the worst racism detector since the posters who think casting black actors is racist.

He's right.  Finding something to talk about is trivializing.  It's better there not be anything to talk about.  In fact, the producers would be wise not to advertise Taye Diggs in the show.

I guess that the Taye Diggs casting is official now, since it was announced during the Tony awards show.

I'm seeing Hedwig for the first time in a few weeks, and am really excited. Darren Criss will still be in the show at that point.

Taye Diggs is a wonderfully talented singer, and he's gorgeous to boot. He will be perfect in the show (too bad I was just in NYC, I would love to see him).

Im curious too becaue the show appears to be on it's last legs.  It's cracked 475 K just once since the Darren Criss run began, and that might be all and good if it's breakeven point is well below that.  However if it's breakeven is above 400 K it's treading water at this point.
