I'm glad everyone is confirming that she sang live because my roommate swears up and down it was pre-recorded.
I actually think Lea has a great voice, but this performance shows how much her voice has become affected by GLEE. Too many pop-isms that did nothing musically or dramatically, poor vowels, and her tone was off several times. And that sophomoric arrangement did nothing to heighten the song, or her performance.
I do give her and Christina props for singing live, but it's moments like these (I'm looking at you, Christina) that make you realize pre-recording these things is actually a good idea.
And I also think Christina's voice is like manna from heaven. Just the voice. Not the excessive riffs.
