Least Likable Characters?

Rent came on Sirius 77 today and I realized-- I hate every single character in that show. Drug addicts, strippers, lazy freeloaders, performance artists--let's face it, if you were at the table next to them in that restaurant scene, you'd get your meal to go!

So is there any other musical with such a large, unlikeable cast?

I hate every ape I see, from Chimpan-A to Chimpan-Z.

Phantom of the Opera. I really do not like any of the characters at all.

Everyone in Sweeney Todd except Toby, Anthony, and Johanna. Bah.

In Little Shop, I get pretty pissed at Audrey II. Yes, it's a plant, but it still pisses the hell out of me.

Every character in Beauty and the Beast.

Also if I was in a restaurant and sat next to the Beales I would leave.

I found most of the characters in Steel Pier really hard to like.

Oh, and to tack another on to my growing list, Sir Bedevere from "Spamalot." Steve Rosen is fab, but my God, is that part really needed?

Cosette and Marius, for sure. Fantine, Eponine, and even Valjean to a certain extent die for them, and yet their love story is as superficial and essentially worthless as can be.

All 3 main characters in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Not likable, but fun to watch. And I know it's not a musical, but what about the entire cast of Glen Gary Glennross?

George and Martha in Who's Afaraid of Virginia Woolf. They are two despicable characters I absolutely love to hate.

are we talking about least liked by us?

Well I have to say cause the show was so horrible it sucked big ones!

Crap-a-cabana

I wished Rico had shot both Lola and Tony. Arg!

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
