As I posted on the TKTS news thread this is now available at half price from TKTS, as I am at work all night and cannot drink alcohol because of work, so only 1 thing to do for a damsel in distress, such as myself - go and see a show.
I would not describe this show exactly Legally Bland nor is it Legally Lucent. I did not rate Jerry Mitchell's direction but this is a unfair critism to make in preview, I hope the show gets a lot tighter.
Sheridan Smith was very good in her role as Elle Woods, but would of prefer to see Laura Bell Bundy in the title role, but the actor who was head and shoulders better than anyone else is Alex Gaumond, he stood out as a real talent, Aoife Mulholland, Duncan James and Jill Halfpenny were good as well, however I thought Peter Davidson as the hot shot Lawyer and Professor was very poor, he did not convince me.
Worth a night out and for me to check out again, the ticket price I paid tonight was a fair price, however it is not a £60 show and glad I did not see it on Broadway.
I wouldn't assume it's gonna be half price all the time now, I mean Priscilla was on the booth for half price last night and I have never seen that on there at all before.
SO glad you loved Alex, I really think he along with Sheridan is one of the strongest cast members.
Priscilla has just gone on sale at TKTS in the last week, no shame in putting your tickets up for a bit of discount, now Priscilla is up I would expect this offer to be available most of the time, same for Legally Blonde especially as it has been noted on here there have been loads of comps.
A lot of people on here have commented on Alex's great performance, funnily enough I was sitting next to Tracey Bennett from La Cage and Hairspray and we both agreed Alex was the best actor.
Did not see WWRY on tour, I saw it London the first time last year, as much as I hate tribute musicals, I love the music of Queen, unfortunately the story was not there, I cannot remember if Alex was in the London production, I have a look at the programme later.
Unfortunately actors cannot be finicky about what roles they pick, as many are resting at the moment, so think a lot of acting profession are forced into taking roles they rather would not do.

I'm going Tuesday for press. I think this is going to end up being a show where the critics will be spread and word of mouth will matter FAR more over the reviews.
Meanwhile I'm trying to get excited about it and just can't. Expecting competence but not amazement. It's also the night after my own show's reading.
Just got an email from Ambassadors saying to keep an eye on my inbox tomorrow for an amazing Legally Blonde offer. Guessing it will probably be one of their 'first ten people that book get it for one price', then next 50 at another price and so on.
So, does the West End 'Paulette' rock out as much as Broadway's Orfeh did? I absolutely HATED Natalie Joy Johnson on the National Tour in the States, who didn't have the belt, the riffs or the presence to handle the role.
No. At least NJJ sang the songs the same as Orfeh did, Jill Halfpenny takes a lot of the belted lines down and doesn't go up to the D at the end of the Ireland reprise which was totally anticlimactic. Her actual voice is pretty weak and whiney too.
We saw this on sunday...great, young audience. The feel reminded me a bit of 9 to 5..bright, fun, slick, a few decent laughs. It felt like this could run..they have a young audience and although I hope it gets decent reviews, I think it could go well without 'em!
Very little, I had a lot of tickets booked, and then all that week I had big college assessments that didnt finish in Poole until 5:30 at night, so I had to sell my tickets!
I dont know bout else where, but down here in the New Forest, non-stop snow for the past 2 days, bout 3/4 inches of snow on the ground, and we're due more tonight... the whole place has come to a stand still!
I think theres similar things happening across the entire country!
I was there last time too! 4th time seeing it and the audience were loving it! Everyone seated until Sheridan came out for her last bow and the whole stalls just rose to their feet!
Was in the front row, love being that close, but don't think i'll be back as much as id like when lottery goes up to £25
