I must say, the preview programmes sound like future collectors' items... provided this show really takes off. I won't be going until I Duncan James has some time off... being at the theatre is never fun when you have vomit down your cardigan.

cardigans are hot! you just have to know how to wear them and what to wear with them, cause some people tend to pass into Grandad terratory and thats never a good look!

re: Legally Blonde - The Musical - Savoy Theatre

I just got in from this. Really fun night out and my mates loved it too, with no prior knowledge of the musical. Not the same kind of energy as something like Priscilla, but it knows exactly what its audience is and hits the spot. Sheridan was great, so was Jill. Duncan was really good, actually! Peter Davison was a bit all over the place (lame vocals, not loud enough), as were the Delta Nu girls, and though Alex Gaumond was good his vocals could have been a lot stronger. But me (and many ladies in the audience) were loving Chris Ellis-Stanton (I think it was him!) as UPS Guy. Lots of genuine laughs (Sheridan has fab comic chops).

re: Legally Blonde - The Musical - Savoy Theatre

After spending my entire life living in New York, a city that is known for having a HUGE Irish population, I fail to see the need for them to re write Ireland.

I mean in the original version of the song (the one on the CD) it's clear that the Ireland being sung is Paulette's twisted and false version of what Ireland is like and that her fantasy is what keeps her going day after day. Keep in mind that it is just her fantasy and we as the audience know that she most likely never left Cambridge Massachusetts before.

Oh please!
Most of you on here should know that this is pre-opening publicity going into overdrive.
That advance is **** all spread over its 6 month booking period!
I laughed when I read it and couldn't wait to see the reaction on here about it!
Preview comps are going out in the hundreds as per normal.

Well, I am convinced that anything mamma does regardless of the weather that involves a bend and snap will send him to hospital. He is just that fragile.

That article has to be taken with a mega pinch of salt, love how its now 'Breaking Box Office Records' according to BWW. Great PR job on their part though, its clearly worked.

As for the beatles hysteria, previews are full of fans. Especially considering how cheap the tickets are.

re: Legally Blonde - The Musical - Savoy Theatre

There is no one press night, tickets have been distributed over five or six performances in January with reviews embargoed until the 14th.

And yes, I have a pair of press tickets.
