Seriously, I was excited before...but now if I may lightly paraphrase the immortal words of Ayo Edebiri "I'm seated. the theater employees are scared and asking me to leave because it's "not released yet" but I'm simply too seated." 

Based on the comparison LMM made of The Breakfast Club meets A Chorus Line meets The Matrix...I really hope this movie is ambitious, maximalist and batsh*t crazy yet intimate and emotionally vulnerable as I hope it will be. Just hearing the cast recording I'm getting full Requiem for A Dream meets Everything Everywhere All At Once vibes.

Lin would never put Malloy in that situation. He deeply respects him and if any new material was needed, it would come from Malloy.

Am I the only one who really hopes Lin doesn’t writeany additional songs to this? For one I think the length is perfect as is. And I also don’t think Lin’s style fits this at all. I’d be down for some additional music from Dave. But I’m hoping something isn’t tacked on to this in hopes of getting nominated or something"

He didn't write anything new for Tick, Tick... Boom!, so why would he write something new for this, especially given Malloy wrote the screenplay himself?

Maybe they both collaborate on a song or two, share credit -- and the (potential) glory. That wouldn't bother me as much as a random LMM insertion.
