Could the fact that it's not on Broadway backfire? I mean, being on Broadway has it's advantages too.
What if they staged it on clandestine flights to Cuba?
I'm assuming Americans still can't just easily fly to Cuba for a vacation.
For what it is worth.. IMO; this should not transfer, I found most of the staging to be an annoying distraction. It does have an event feel to it in London. But I don't think it will achieve the same in the US. I am hoping that Here Lies Love has put a nail on the coffin of this immersive trend. I am over it. Just my opinion.

AEA is a piss-poor union that rarely does much productive fiighting for its members. If anyone makes a fuss you can bet ith will be stemming from the stage hand unions, with AEA feebly falling in line."
AEA isn’t perfect but this is patently untrue.

Betty22 has been reliably accurate over the course of the last few months. …which one can’t say of you, actually.
Well, this'll certainly give new meaning to "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat".
The new Pearlman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center could be a good possibility. It would be Off-Broadway but I still think this should come home to New York. This production along with Cabaret were the best shows I saw in London this summer.

Yes, but so fun to read the gullible responses!

The single advantages of Broadway are (a) the Tony Awards*, and (b) the fact that you can advertise it as "Broadway."
The drawbacks of Broadway are the costs and the rigid rules. Union ushers, stagehands, house minimums, a space that would have to be jury-rigged to fit this ultra-specific revival...etc. I like environmental/immersive theatre, but Broadway is a deeply impractical place for those types of productions.
Every good show does not need to be on Broadway. HERE WE ARE is not better or worse for avoiding Broadway. HERE LIES LOVE probably could have found more success by doing a return engagement in a non-Broadway space. CABARET might cost less and be more successful in a warehouse or tent somewhere (TBD of course).
I'm sure the producers weighed this decision carefully.
*to the point about the Tonys... as long as the League controls the Tonys, we will never see an expansion of the Tonys to Off-Broadway, because if Off-B shows were eligible for Tonys, there would be hardly any incentive to move plays to Broadway. Broadway would become even more of a theme park.

I think the OP has gotten slightly confused, the rumor for months is that the show will be mounted in the new hanger to be built on Pier 76 on 35th street. Or they’re just pulling our leg as a pier is technically “floating” I guess…

Perhaps this is going into The Shed??
Just putting this out there in case anyone has any information. Will be in Glasgow, Scotland for a week and would love to pop down to London to see this. But I can't seem to find any trains that run. Any advice?

I use the Rail Europe site for a lot of my travels and a search there suggests 27 daily trains are available (4.5 hours trip): https://www.raileurope.com/en-us/destinations/glasgow-london-train
I didn't dig deeper than this initial search though.

That's what I was looking at too, but kept telling me there were no trains on a Saturday... so I'll keep plugging away! Thanks!!

Sadly, I've found some city combos do not run on certain days during certain times of the year, particularly winter.

The Hudson River setup sounds like a game-changer. It's refreshing to see creativity taking center stage (literally!) in the theater world.

In all seriousness, the London production of Guys and Dolls will be transferring to a off-Broadway venue near the Hudson River in 2024?

Actually, they have; there were several (ultimately failed) attempts to unionize Sleep No More, per a former employee.
