Wow...this was already an unhinged thread.
But now we're talking witches and ancestors and bad energy and all sorts of other kinds of dumb. Can we exist in the real world please?
My two cents is this. Kecia Lewis was wrong to claim racial microaggressions, and Patti was wrong to say what she said about Kecia and Audra. But in the grand scheme of things, do these things really matter? NO THEY DON'T!

It's interesting to see who posted Paul Wonterek's "see our profile on Kecia and Audra" pic, including Matt Doyle.
I for one, think Kecia was totally wrong to insinuate racism especially in an era where legends can be fully cancelled for such an allegation. But I can also say Patti's response was wrong also -- mainly because I don't think print is ever really able to capture her tone, so she shouldn't have gone there at all.

While y'all are bickering, I'm over here trying to be productive. How can we get them back together? Parent Trap style? Like if I scheduled an interview with Patty, and I also scheduled an interview with Audra, and then they both showed up? They would be forced to work everything out! Maybe a duet at the Tony's????

I didn't get my foreskin cut off in front of everyone as a child to be called antisemitic on BroadwayWorld dot com of all places. Very quick to jump to the antisemitic label! But two pages ago didn't you say:
"Oh and the labeling of people as racist makes you the big part of the bigger problem. That is all."
Switch out racism for antisemitism, babe.

I know I'm late to the conversation (it took me a while to wade through all 9 pages), but I'm curious about this. In reading the profile Patti doesn't exactly come off well (nice she ain't), but I thought it was a rather well-rounded look at who she was. It's sympathetic to her early struggles while diligent about checking her claims and adding necessary context for some of the more reactionary incidents. I suppose you could say it implies that her early struggles in large part formed the way she is now, but that's something I find quite believable just based on what I know of her life from the outside. I haven't read anything else from Schulman, but from what I've gathered from this and other public information it doesn't seem like he's really manufacturing much?
