Mean Girls is starting to stunt cast BUT it's not the stunt cast anyone asked for

Will be interesting to see if his 21.3 million Instagram followers equate to tickets sold.

Is he still relevant? I haven't heard about him in years.
His last post on IG from 7 hours ago already has almost 160,000 likes & his post from November 28th has 628,000+ likes. So I’d say he’s still relevant to a lot of people. Whether that translates to lots of tickets sold is anyone’s guess. Interestingly, I don’t think he’s posted about his stint on MG, yet. You’d think that would be expected since his popularity on IG was arguably why he was cast so they could sell tickets.

On behalf of Generation Z, no.
The most relevant thing he's done recently is get arrested for physical assault.
What next? Charli from TikTok is gonna be the next Elsa?

I don’t know who this person is - but of all the roles to stunt cast...why not Miss Norberry? Bring in Tina Fey or Ana Gasteyer or Amy Poehler!! They have an entire movie cast to choose from. Heck - Jonathan Bennett can still pull off Aaron Samuels! Get him! Oooof...

Yeah... this seems odd! I’d love to see any former SNL star as Mrs Norbert!
I’m guessing that they didn’t feel like dealing with the demanding 8 shows a week schedule or they have other irons in the fire. Plus, I’m guessing they would have been more expensive.

Yeah I’m a millennial who is very plugged into culture and I’ve not a clue who this is but I don’t follow “influencers” as I think it’s all kinds of dumb.

He’s famous for his ”MAGCON” tour which is him and some other guys and it's basically a concert of teenage white boys jumping and singing their own bad rap songs. The more expensive tickets have meet and greets where the girls can take pictures with them and pretend they're dating them. They all got famous off of vine and eventually ventured into horrible YouTube videos such as this one.

This are videos of a MAGCON ”concert” if your eyes don't hurt from watching the first one.

A random influencer who was arrested for assault.

In fairness, if you're going to cast someone for Mean Girls, casting a real life mean person makes some sense.
"Now, for four weeks only, even the guys are Mean."
Weird role to stunt cast. Aaron has half a song total, basically, and not much in the way of lines (and I say that as someone who really liked Kyle Selig's Aaron when I saw the show). We'll see but I can't imagine this is the kind of stunt cast that'll pack 'em in to the August Wilson.
It seemd to work pretty well when they cast YouTuber Joe Sugg in Waitress in London in another featured role that didn’t require any ‘heavy lifting’.

I completely understand questioning why they cast him (even though...like...audition, get the role...that's usually how it works, no?) but I sincerely hope no one says he's horrible until they ACTUALLY see him in the role.

Except he had just come off of three months appearing on the biggest Saturday night prime time tv show in the county
Im only aware of him because I pathetically had a crush on him and other vine boys when I was in high school. My god and I'm glad I'm mostly off the internet now. This is weird, his movie he made for Netflix wasn't good nor was he really good in it. I wouldn't expect much other than a rabid stage door and a hot dude on broadway for 4 weeks. I haven't even seen him in years though so idk what he looks like now exactly.

Looking at their grosses this cant be too surprising to anyone that they’re doing this for four weeks in Jan which usually deadly. I’m told he auditioned for the show and went through that the same process like everyone else and was good!
What’s next for the August Wilson?
ALMOST FAMOUS
Lol

Would you prefer they put someone with no discernible talent in one of the leading roles?
This is my nightmare.
