Hi,
I have 2 more slots to fill in my trip and I'm really in doubt about those four titles (MJ, Plaza Suite, Take Me Out and Birthday Candles) for two last slots. What are you guys opinion about that?
I'm wondering if ''The Skin of Our Teeth'' may be an option, but hasn't opened yet.
Also, would you guys recommend any Off-Broadway shows instead one of these?
MJ and Take Me Out - although I’ve heard good preliminary reports on Birthday Candles
Plaza Suite is an overlong overpriced vanity snoozefest
I think you know if MJ is the sort of thing you want to see. I won't speak to that because it's not for me. Birthday Candles was pretty bad. Plaza Suite is fine if you like that type of humor or want to see SJP on stage. Haven't seen TMO yet but will be trying to soon.
I would recommend Cyrano at BAM instead. You didn't say when you were coming to the city so that would impact suggestions Off Broadway.
I'd say see one of the plays as MJ is bound to tour and you can always see it then. Or look into some weirder off-Broadway stuff that you're interested in.
Have you done Sleep No More yet?

Oh, sorry, I will be in NY from March 30 to April 10.
I have seen this production of Cyrano pre-Covid in London, I guess its the same?
I have Little Shop and Suffs in my list from Off Broadway shows, anything else really Good?

Havent seen Sleep No More, heard great things, tickets are above $100 or Theres a cheaper way to see?
Oh, Im from Brazil, I get to go to US from year to year, so MJ touring wouldnt be a sure thing to me.

I really enjoyed Birthday Candles. It certainly wasn't perfect - I didn't think I liked it early on but found myself (and most of the audience) crying long before the end. But I found it really cathartic and thought they did a beautiful job with what is a pretty ordinary story.

If not already on your radar, I recommend A STRANGE LOOP, IMO one of the most exciting, unique new musicals to come along in a very long time. I think it starts previews while you're in town.

Skin of Our Teeth starts previews this Friday, so hopefully there will be some early reviews on this board. I'm waiting to see those, as well as the ones for POTUS (which doesn't start previews until 4/14), before deciding on my own last slot for my trip beginning 4/24.

Yes, I will see ''Loop'' on April 9, either for rush or buying any available ticket, but it's certainly on my list!
