Wow! One of the big ones going down. Always a momentous time. Not a fan of the show myself, but that sucks for all the people losing their jobs. I wonder what will go into the Broadhurst now (one of the 3 theatres in which I've never seen a show)

Rebecca?!  LOL

So sad...I love this show for its campiness and ABBA's music.  Nothing deep just fun!

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Hopefully theatre-going audiences will now choose to spend their money supporting shows with original scores.

Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Tell that to the tourist crowd theater going audience that is most likely 90% of Broadway's customers.  I think there is room for a good mix of original and jukebox musicals!  Just my opinion.

It's been interesting seeing the numbers over the past year or so since it moved to the Broadhurst. One would think that moving to a smaller house would result in more full houses, but instead was way up and down through the year.

It appears that, although it's a well-known title, it really benefitted by the big marquee on Broadway and when it moved to the less-obvious Broadhurst, it dropped off many tourists' radar.

TBH I'm not surprised but it's had a fantastic run.

I thought this show would never close!

Sad to see any show close, but it's time as this ran MANY, MANY years.

It wasn't doing great at the Winter Garden before it moved but youre right that the move didn't really benefit the show at all.

I can't say I am 100% surprised, but I will say congratulations for such an amazing run.  That being said, I'm now putting money that fiddler will take the broadhurst

I reckon Fiddler will go to the Imperial and a play takes the Broadhurst like King Charles III unless this new production of Fiddler is smaller in scale.

I don't know. Broadhurst is more of a play venue. They have done musicals in there before and will continue, but I have a feeling that a play will go there.

I don't think Les Mis is going anywhere anytime soon.

Christmas has come early. Btw I love your clip broadwayfan24.

Sad, but I agree it's time. I really enjoy the show for what it is (fluffy fun) and will try to make a last visit (I saw once it like 5 years ago on tour) to say goodbye. As for what's next, my guess: Misery.

Damnit. I was hoping this would run forever so I'd never have to suffer through having to sit in those uncomfortable Broadhurst seats again.

"Btw I love your clip broadwayfan24."

Thank you. It's from "I Married an Angel" with Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy if anyone is wondering.
