Where is she? I was listening to Ragtime (one of the best shows,EVER) and i was like ....where is this fabulous singer? I miss her! Just wondering! Thanks! :)
Marin is currently doing concerts with her husband Jason Daniely all over the country. She is out in LA right now doing some t.v. stuff. She has had a small re-curring role on CBS's "Still Standing" for the last two seasons. If you want any more information go to www.marinmazzie.com!
I saw Marrin and Jason twice in 110 in the Shade last June-July (Pasadena Playhouse) and in Brigadoon (Reprise:UCLA) in August. They were phenomenal, and I got the chance to speak to them after Brigadoon. They were both extremely gracious and appreciative when I complimented their work.
I was also wondering where she was. I'm glad to hear she has work. It just saddens me that such a talented performer can not find work in New York.

Her husband was just cast in the Encores! production of A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN. I don't know how he'll do as Johnny Nolan because, as much as I love Jason Daniely, he has what's called a "lateral lisp" and some of his "s's" come out with a swooshy sound. Now that worked as Malcolm in THE FULL MONTY, but I don't know if it would work in this case.

A little off-topic, but the other night I was calling my sister Mazzie...her name is Marin.
I wish I could see Jason in "Tree" but damn living in Michigan. oh well, hope to see him doing some other great stuff soon. I absolutley love the book and the movie of A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. Ah well......
I'm not sure that the Danielys' decision to work in L.A. for a while means they "can't" get work in New York. There are two coasts, after all, and Hollywood may be beckoning.
I love Marin Mazzie but she doesn't always read that well on camera, at least when she is singing. But yes, she is freaking amazing, and I hope she does something fabulous soon. I was just listening to her on "Out of This World" and her, Use Your Imagination is amazing.
Bobby-I have to agree with a bit. When I saw her perform live(mind you it was just in concert) it was 10 times as amazing as she reads on camera and sounds on recordings. It was breathtaking! If you think she's good on cd and dvd see her live. I didn't think it could get much better but oh man!
