frontrowcentre2, why is my post grouped in with all those others? I was the only one saying the show was still on and that the cancellation rumors being spread were false, which is exactly what came to be.

Word on ATC is that Patrick Wilson will replace Cheyenne Jackson as Woody. If true, that's a definite upgrade.

For those who don't know the show:

Chuck Cooper plays HALF the role of Senator Billboard Rawkins. Hie is a bigoted white senator who turns black (thanks to a magic pot of gold).

In the original production 60 years ago, one (white) actor played the role, using make-up for the transformation. Now, the role is divided up between one white actor and one black actor.

The marquee is awful; looks like it was created on a Mac as a leftover from a gay pride event. Whatever happened to proper marquee art? Another example is BLITHE SPIRIT, a cheap, cheesy looking poster. Noel Coward would gag.

I hadn't heard Patrick Wilson was rumored.. and although he's a bigger name, He can't sing as well as either of them in my opinion. Especially Jarrod.
